Question about Washing Machines
Who is the actual maker of this washer is it Whirlpool, Inglis, GE?
Also is it a Direct Drive or Belt drive.
Anyone got answers
looking at the tech sheet for this, it appears to be a standard whirlpool top load but with electronic controls, correct? normalling with this type a lid switch is the issue but the electronics would have a different code for this, LD is Long Drain for this model. suspect a transmission but this should help you troubleshoot. go to www.servicematters.com and click technical reference - tech library - tech sheets, enter model minus 110.prefix. this will show tech sheet with diagnostics. this book can also be found inside your console.

First cheack if there is oil on the floor under washer if there is you need a transmission and a clutch clean.
or If you can feel around the top of your tub where the splash guard is there may be a piece of clothing stuck there it is between the inner and outertub if you can't feel anything you may need to get a repair man in there to remove tub to cheak If he ia a good repair man it should only take a few min

SOURCE: Kenmore type 111, very weak spin
HI, you have an issue that concerns the internal structure of the drive motor. it could be that , the transmission is dry(Low oil state, causing friction) or, this could be a weak motor as well.
This will require a careful inspection of the transmission and, drive assembly and motor.
A service tech is recommend in this situation.

The back panel does NOT come off on this model washer. In order to accurately determine the source of a leak on a Whirlpool manufactured TOP LOADER, you need to remove the exterior washer cabinet. This is procedure is much simpler than it sounds. The following link explains how:
In the majority of cases, leaks on top loaders are caused by a leaking drain pump, or drain hoses. Instructions are included to replace the pump if it found to be leaking.
Replacement parts (if required) can be found at the following websites:
The average cost varies, so shop and compare. The first three websites I listed also have helpful exploded view parts diagrams that can help you locate and properly identify the parts you need.
If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
