Will not boot ??

sounds like a problem i had with a philips laptop (which appears to be a twinhead repackaged as a philips)

This might sound weird but it works........

Take the battery out and disconnect from the ac
Press and hold the power button for about 40secs
connect the ac but don't replace the battery and press the power button
then replace the battery and turn it on. it should work

installed a new harddrive it recogised the HDD but refuses to boot up i have tried all sorts , windows 98se Me Xp boot disc but nothing seems to work it contiues to say a corrupte file but it is a brand new HDD CAN ANYBODY HELP A SILVER SURFER to overcome this problem tammytroot
