Question about ASUS Eee PC 1000H Laptop

1 Answer

Touch pad quit working recently.

Touch pad (internal mouse at base of key board) quit working recently. the netbook hasn't been used much at all, certainly not abused so I wonder if I inadvertently hit something, a button, that would turn the pad off. The netbook works fine using a Logitech mouse that we bought before we got used to the pad.

do you have a 'synaptics based' touch pad?
try;
- re-calibrate your mouse properties in control panel
- reinstall the touch-pad driver

I HAVE A NETBOOK LAPTOP LT2016U I CANNOT GET THE INTERNAL MOUSE TO WORK I BELIEVE IT IS BAD ?

This is a problem but there may be a solution for you. Firstly, do you remember what happened before your internal mouse stopped working? If you go into what's known as device manager, this tells you all about the components in your pc, whether they are working or not and you can obtain further information. Do the following. Access your start menu by pressing the windows key on the keyboard. In the search or run box type the following command: devmgmt.msc This will give you a list of all the components and devices on your system and you want to look for the internal mouse and you can check it's state here. It may have a yellow question mark next to it or a red x indicating that there is a serious problem. This sounds like a big job but if your internal mouse is faulty then it may cost you quite a lot to have it repaired or replaced.

The alternative is, you can use one of your usb ports on the side or the rear of your netbook and you can insert a usb mouse. This way you can disregard your mouse pad altogether on your netbook and just rely on the external mouse that you have plugged into your usb port. This is probably the best option for you. Good luck. My mouse pad does not work nor does USB cable

Has the mouse lock been applied.
Press and hold the "FN" key and then press "F9" this should unlock the mouse and touch pad.
Failing that try updating the drivers for both using the device manager as I have found that recent updates have disabled my touch pad and I have rolled back the drivers to the previous ones.

Acer aspire one touchpad right button not working

you can try using the function key ( fn ) and the touch pad key on my acer it is the F7 key hold the fn key and press and release the touch pad key that will turn the touch pad mouse off and on also goto control panel / mouse and try switch primary and secondary see if that will make the right button work if not its probly hardware related and your best bet is to keep the external mouse going rather than fixing that one

My touch pad on toshiba will not work.

Hold down the function key and press F9. That enables/disables the touch pad. The function key is the one with the letters 'Fn' on it. If that doesn't work, let me know and I well explain the long answer.
Good luck, and let me know how you made out. and please rate my answer.
