Question about AT&T Lucent / Avaya Merlin Magix 4406D+ Display Phone - BLACK

1 Answer

I need to find a part, if possible, for a Magix 4406+ Display. It is a two prong adapter that plugs into the console in which the phone cord is attached to. I have a picture but I guess couldn't send it in a chat. My tech is thinking this part may be causing static and hum. I have not found where only this part can be replaced. I was hoping you could help me out. Thanks.

Do you have a part number on the 2 pronged adapter?

  • dforbus Jun 04, 2010

I don't have a part number but I found something I think may work. The part number on it is an Allen Tel Modular Adapter Plug. Model #GB478B. Can you verify that that would work? Here is the link: http://www.twacomm.com/catalog/dept_id_3... Thanks.

O.k., now I know what you meant by a 2 prong adapter. I was thinking it was a power adapter thats used on some of the multifunction sets. The one pictured should work fine, and you did describe it well.

I have a three prong plug washer/dryer but a 4 prong outlet need an adapter

YOU DONT ADAPT IT, U REPLACE THE RECEPTACLE OR USE THE CORRECT PRONG CORD. THE CORDS ARE NOT THAT EXPENSIVE FROM 20 TO 30 BUCKS AND EVEN CHEAPER ON LINE. IF U HAVE A NEWER HOME IT IS MANDATED BY LAW THAT YOU USE 4 PRONG CORD NOT 3 PRONG UNLESS THE HOME CAME WITH A 3 PRONG OUTLET.

I have a Merlin Magix 4424LD+ phone and the display not working. I bought a new one to replace it but the display did not work either? Is there any programming caused this display to be off or stop...

Just to verify are you using a 4wire cable that has power? If you have moved environments it is possible you might have to get the aux ac power adapter that you plug your cables into to power the display.

My dryer's power cord has 4 prongs, my wall socket has 3 holes, can I change the power cord, or is there an adapter to change from 4 to 3 pronges.

Un screw the 2 hex screws from the back of the dryer where the cord goes in.

There will be 3 screws that connect the cord to the dryer, loosen or remove them to remove the 4 prong cord.

A hardware store will carry the 3 prong cord you need, tell them it is for a dryer.

Re-connect the 3 prong cord to the dryer.

Plug in and test after you have installed the new cord.

Purchase a 3 prong dryer cord. It is simpler and safer than changing the wall outlet.

Nintendo dslite wont turn on.tried charging it wit 3 different charges and it still wont charge

Ensure that you are properly recharging the battery.

1. Insert the small end of the adapter into the external extension connector (labeled "5.2V=IN") on the back of the Nintendo DS Lite, just next to the SLOT 1 Game Card opening.

2. Swing the prongs on the AC adapter until they lock into place, then insert it into a standard (120 volt) outlet.

The plug should be mounted vertically or on a floor outlet (such as a power strip).

3. Once the adapter is properly inserted, the unit will begin to charge (the orange charging light will display).

4. Once the DS Lite is fully charged, the orange charge light will go off.

Check the AC Adapter for damage (such as bent prongs or split wires). If you see damage to the AC Adapter, purchase a replacement from Nintendos Online Store.

Try plugging the AC Adapter into another wall outlet. Its possible the outlet is not working properly and has not been charging the Nintendo DS Lite.

If you are unable to get power to your Nintendo DS Lite, despite trying to properly recharge the unit, then your system will need to be repaired.

Nintendo offers convenient repairs, fast turnaround times and, for all systems repaired, a new one-year manufacturer's warranty.

Phone set up

This phone is a Merlin Magix system phone. The time is stored in the main control unit, not the telephone. You have different times on different phones??? I do not see how this is possible unless the clock is broken and not updating the phones with the correct time. If that was the case every time you unplug a phone and re-connect it the time may be reset to 12:00 on that phone. Avaya has all their manuals available on their web site. I'd suggest going to www.avaya.com and searching for "Magix time"
