No power on dell b130

I had to remove and replace the battery a few times and the laptop would come on. now i get nothing. I have not tried running the computer with no battery in place, however, I don't think it runs that way. Does this mean my motherboard is fried?

Is there any easy way to replace the power port?

I've found a few places that charge $100 to do it, but I'm always up for a home repair.

If your computer is running kind of sluggish, you can fix it with an easy clean up of your registry. Here's a link to a free scan that works well:

I've used this one and it sped up my computer by quite a bit. Hopefully this helps.

My Dell Inspiron B130 will not turn on

The battery is critically low, indicating that it is not getting a charge from the AC adapter. If the system will not power on from the AC adapter, then the motherboard power connection is suspect.

Motherboards are about $100 on EBay

Has power but wont boot up at all inspiron b130 notebook, was working fine 4 days ago ,

There could e a problem with the battery. A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.

Try also to reseat the main components of the notebook: the battery, the AC adapter, the memory modules, & the hard drive.
After that try switching it on & see if the problem was fixed.

My inspiron laptop wont turn on after I replaced

Verify that you obtained an exact replacement power adapter for the Dell. If it is an exact replacement then try this. Disconnect power adapter. Remove battery. Reconnect power adapter without the battery. If it turns on, then power off and place battery back in. Then try again. If problem returns, there could be a problem with the battery itself.

BATTERY LIGHT FLASHES ORANGE

hi,
if you have tried both batteries with the same laptop and they are giving you the same error code, then it could very well be a motherboard problem, both the batteries cannot be bad, what you can do is try these batteries on some other compatible laptop model to check if they work fine there. Also try swapping the AC adapter as in both case you might be using the same Ac adapter, try using some other good known AC adapter as well.

Dell Inspiron B130 will not turn on

My plug for the AC adaptor only works when I press it in. I am pretty sure it is the power jack on the PC. I don't know how to take it apart to that level to see if it can just be re soldered or not. I really would like to fix this myself so if anyone has any links to fixing the power jack on a Dell Inspiron B130 let me know.
Thanks.

Dell Inspiron B130 wont boot

First remove the battery from the PC! Leave it off for a short period of time! about 2min. This allows the computer to erase anything in temporary memory. Place the battery back onto th PC and try to boot it up. The other thing you can do is boot the pc up with just the power cord in place. See if it boots just from the power cord. Sometime the batteries from dell causes the whole entire PC to become unresponsive.
