I had to remove and replace the battery a few times and the laptop would come on. now i get nothing. I have not tried running the computer with no battery in place, however, I don't think it runs that way. Does this mean my motherboard is fried?
If your computer is running kind of sluggish, you can fix it with an easy clean up of your registry. Here's a link to a free scan that works well:

I've used this one and it sped up my computer by quite a bit. Hopefully this helps.

Check the ac/dc power plug in the back of the laptop. mine broke and i had to replace it. I had the same problem
Have you check if the power adapter is charging properly? some times the problems is on it.

Is there any easy way to replace the power port?
I've found a few places that charge $100 to do it, but I'm always up for a home repair.
