I have a VG2245WM Monitor it has power and pc signal but very red

I have a VG2245WM Monitor it recieves power and the indicator light goes from orange to blue which indicates that there is a signal from the PC, but its weird the screen has funky colors and everything isn't clear, and everything seems very red and dark, I tried playing around with monitor settings but you can't even read what is in the menu, there is a blue box which is usually the menu, but it doesn't show what is what....I took it apart to check out the power board and see if it had the same problem as my other viewsonic vg2021m which had bad caps which were blugging out, but apparently the caps on this one looks fine...Can anyone help? Is it the back light our the video board? oh ya I turned on the monitor with the back cover off and it seems like the backlights are on and its bright...odd very odd????

The caps can be bad with high ESR with no sign of bulging/leaking: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Bad%20capacitors/

If you get pinkish glow and dimmed screen, it can be bad lamps: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Bad%20backlight%20lamp/

I will still suspect the caps first. Check to see if you do have about 12~18vdc feeding the inverter circuits.

My Dell Optiplex gx260 Pentium 4 Flat CPU doesn't Display anything, and Power light is Orange.. Please help me out

You say the power light is orange--I'm assuming that you mean the monitor.
This indicates the monitor is not receiving a signal from the computer.
Assuming that the computer actually powers up (fan runs, you can hear the hard drive being accessed, etc) then your problem lies in the video card.

If, on startup, you do see the BIOS info and maybe even the Windows splash screen before your monitor goes dark, then the problem lies in the video card drivers. In this case, starting in safe mode will work and allow you to download and install new drivers.

Power is on but having blank screen

Check on what the color of your monitor's power indicator is. Usually, if its orange or red, it means it's on but is not receiving any video signal from your pc. If it's green or yellow, it is receiving signal so if your screen is blank, check on your monitor's video settings, like brightness could be set to 0 or try to restore your monitor's default settings. You can find these options on your monitor's menu button.

My brother experienced a power hit today. No UPS. Anyway, his monitor indicator light is not green, but an brownish orange. Does this only indicate standby mode because the PC isn't booting either....

It means it is not getting the video signal from the PC. You should try this monitor with another PC or another monitor with this PC. You may have problrm in the PC.

Monitor stopped working...checked all connections...light won't stay on green. bought a new monitor to replace it and that monitor says "no signal". is this a problem with the dell computer and not the...

Your monitor is going into power saving mode. When it receives no video signal from the computer, it will stay powered for a few seconds before giving up and presuming the PC is off hence why it stays green for a while, then goes orange.

The problem is with your PC not the monitor(s)

Light on monitor is green when turned on, but then turns orange with nothing on the screen. I can hear the computer running though.

your monitor is not recieving a video signal from your pc. check your connection to pc, then check things like bad memory card, etc. sometimes just shut pc on and off a few times clears this up.

Monitor comes up shows "acer" then says no signal and goes black

This Problem is Acer(s) Monitors. Though it is a nuisance one fix That has work for many is the Unplugging after it goes back to Good (viewable) screen.
I have hooked mine up to an inexpensive Power strip to make it easier for me and just turn off at time indicated above and Viola Simple is as Simple does :)

Computer monitor won't tur on

check the connector to the pc from the monitor. it may have come loose. if you have a mouse, try moving it and see if the light on the monitor turns to green. it is possible the video has failed.

Dell monitor E152fpb

The orange light means that the moitor is not seeing any signal. Make sure that the cable is in the correct position on the PC. If that is correct, try it on another PC to determine whether or not the monitor was damaged internally during moving or the PC is not sending out a video signal.

No display

if your monitor is not connected to a pc, then it cannot find a vga signal input and therefore go into power saving mode, which is indicated by the orange light, but as soon as you connect to the pc and power on the light will go green and the monitor will power up.
