Purchased dell inspiron 530 from best buy, Vista was alreday on system as wll as all drivers, a 2 recovery cds came with system one with Visat the other with drivers. About a wek ago microsoft updated my system with vista sp3 the system crashed, I formatted the disk and used the Vista recovery cd, it goes to a point and say need mass storage driver, put in cd recovery cd and it scans and says no drivers found, i dont even think it scans the driver cd because the message comes back immediately. Dell has been no help.

If anything, it's simply not compatible with your specs. "Vista 32 bit" alone kind of instilled some doubt in me. But who knows, try surfing around Nvidia's site here

You can try their Option 2 to automatically scan your rig and find a "suitable" driver for it, or try the links below on that site "Beta and Older Drivers" and see if any of the other versions work.

I'd try rolling back to the previous driver, maybe your machine isn't compatible with the latest driver ...

If you are refering to the DELL system restore on the hard drive you will have to contact DELL and have them ship you the recovery discs for your system. Once you have the recovery discs, insert them in your drive and boot the computer from the CD/DVD to attempt the recovery.

Update the driver for the monitor and adapter
If the system is fairly new it's usually a driver issue

Try to use dvd cleaner disk to clean the lens, if it doesnot work, i think you have to replace your drive , this happens with Dell alot. but try to clean it, uninstall then install the driver back and check if its work.

have you try 2 run audio cd on it? pls try to load audio cd on it and see if it reads.

oh... then it must not been windows certified... did u try run as administrator..
