Check that the pressure unloader in the switch is working properly. This should open when the compressor is turned off and close when it turns on again. It releases the pressure from the compressor so it doesn't have to start against the pressure.
If this is not being actuated or is stuck it might be the problem. You will hear the air escaping while the machine is running if this is the problem.

My compressor has no air pressure to blow out my lines

If you start it and it runs for 5 minutes or so and stops, then it is building enough pressure to operate normally. Check the gauges and you should see about 100 or so on the gauge. If it does not shut off then there is something wrong with the unit and it wont build pressure. This could be a valve that is stuck or a gasket that failed. If you have pressure then you need to check the regulator on the unit. Where the hose connects look for a knob that increases the pressure, there should be a gauge next to it and that shows what the regulated pressure is. Turn the knob to increase the pressure. Last but not least, most sprinkler systems take a lot of air to clear the lines. Some small compressors cannot do it. You did not say what the item is that you a clearing out and you did not say what the compressor is. Therefore it is hard to tell.

Oil pressure gauge on 2007 mitsubishi shogun sport not working but no oil warning light. Anyone had similar issues?

As a first step you should have the pressure gauge sender unit replaced which has most likely failed prematurely. It is not an expensive part but the OP gauge will not work without it functioning.

If the gauge then shows no pressure I would also have a mechanic check the oil pressure on the vehicle with an independent gauge.

I have a CH HJ 300200 that will not build pressure, there seems to be pressure building in the tank but the Pressure gauge does not move. I removed the pressure line going to the tank, it gets hot and...

I would remove the pressure gauge and check the bottom of the air gauge fitting. The small hole at the bottom of the gauge fitting may be clogged. Sometimes when the pressure gauge is installed a piece of Teflon tape (used to seal the threads) can get lodged over the pressure gauge air port.

Why will my bostitch pancake compressor 240 psi tank 180 regulator that the guages will not show building pressure

Hi, There are different posibilities. I would need more information. Was it always like that? Does the guage on the main tank and the guage on the regulator both not show more than 20psi? When the auto shut-off is triggered do you feel there is more than 20 psi in the tank?

Oil pressure problem

in a shop we ignore the dash gauges and use REAL gauges.
we attach a real gauge to the sender port. on engine block.
and read the true pressure.
the lamp on most cars go on at 3 to 5psi.
this is catastrophic failure. that low.

my guess, is you let oil drop and you wrecked bearings.
but let the real gauge prove that , dont guess.

Air builds in the tank just fine. No air coming out once attachment are connected. Even took the hose off and applied attachment directly to compressor and no air. Help!

Try putting another coupling directly on the tank.

Usually there are 2 gauges. The first one shows the pressure in the air tank and the second on shows the pressure that you like to let out.
So on top of the second gauge there is a pressure regulator. To adjust you have to grab the round object on top of the second gauge pull upp then rotate to adjust air flow.

The machine came with this valve with screw showing (i.e gives the impression of it being open). When I left it this way, my machine filled correctly. When I tightened it, the tank gauge did not fill up, and there was air coming out from that valve.

If the valve lifters are quiet you most likely have oil pressure even with gauge showing "0".Sounds like the oil pressure switch going bad.I would try that first.

My sand filter is showing 0 pressure on the pressure gauge, yet I still have great flow? It is showing no pressure on any of the settings--It was working just fine last year.

If flow is good, one of two things. Unscrew gauge and see if hole is plugged. With gauge out, momentarily turn pool on and make sure water squirts out of hole. If no, hole is plugged, If yes, bad gauge.
