Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I'm not sure if this is a problem you all would handle. I checked in Categories and but didn't really see a match but thought I'd try. The problem I'm having is with a flashing hourglass beside my cursor. It's been going on a few days now. I've uninstalled the last few installs I've done, thinking those might have caused it, but to no avail. Can you help? Thanks.

The flashing hour glass means that some process is continuously working in the background. It can be any sort of program even a virus. Does your PC feels a bit slow after the hour glass showed up constantly?. Also this may sound a bit stupid but have you checked your cursor settings?. Some how the cursor may have gotten changed by mistake.

To shut down processes that are currently running, use task manager. Press ctrl+alt+delete and from the processes tab start ending processes which are using the most memory. One by one see if the hour glass dissappears. the process which gets closed right before the hour glass disappears maybe causing the problem.

Speaker screech

For a starting point make sure that you are properly matched with you speakers for an 8 ohm system. Verify what your amp can handle and then make sure the speakers fit within that zone. A good amp can handle down to 2 ohms without a problem. Most like to operate at about 4 ohms at the lowest. If that is all good and you still have problems I will check back.

Water is not coming out when I pull the triger.

If everything is clean, check to see if the water also does not spray from the cleaning tool handle. Most likely your pump needs replacing. I have two of them and pumps go out a lot. To know for sure, fill both the soap and water resevoirs, turn it on, release the handle and lay the handle on the floor. Hold the flat side of a paper plate to the oval hole on the neck opening on the base of the unit located at the back-top, in front of the cleaning solution area. It should **** the paper plate. I just know from going through this for 9 years with two of them. Sears sells extended warrantees even if you didn't buy it there. It pays off in the long run. Beautiful machine. Really works!

if touching the started button has an effect on the light then you need to check the switch box internals for loose wiring on the light switch.

I have mail and my categories for contacts have disappeared. Any way I can get them back? Thanks

This happened to me yesterday.

After much thought and experimentation, I finally got them back again!

You need to click on "Create a new category" then simply re-type the exact name of your list, putting a hypen between each word (if there was more than one word in the original name) e.g. if the missing category was called Work Colleagues, then simply call the new category Work-Colleagues.

When you click on save - hey presto! your contacts for that list re-appear.

BT recently changed the way you need to name categories by making them one word only and the popular theory is that the service provider deleted any contact categories that had more than one word in them.

They also now don't allow special characters, so just in case they suddenly decide to class a hyphen as one of these, I would strongly urge you to re-name your categories when you get them back again e.g. cahnge Work-Colleagues to just Work or WorkColleagues etc.

I really hope this helps. If it does, please post a reply to let me know and then spread the word! There must be more than just the two of us that are/were affected.

If not, post anyway and I'll see if there is anything else you can try.

When i plug it in the power LED doesnt light up

Make sure your using the correct power adapter. (the amps and volts need to match)

Also, try it on another plug, you could be plugging it into a socket that's on a light switch and you just don't know it. I've done this plenty of times and thought the TV died.

Other than that, there's really not too much I can tell ya.

Hyundai 2005 Sante Fe Trunk lock will not open

hello ,If its the rear hach handle you are talking it is due to rust build up on the spring behind the handle. The only way to fix is to get a new handle it will come with the spring and all. Make sure if you do get this handle and you get it painted to match your paint that the body shop does not take it apart to paint cause it is really hard to get the spring back in and thay may brake it on you.

Tires for yamaha vstar 650

If the particular tires are matched as compatible to your bike, they'll work, even is mismatched as a pair. There are benefits to having a matched pair, such as more even treadwear, and smoother reaction when following road grooves. There are always differences in 'feel' when you switch tires--each tire (even if you are replacing with the same make/model), as a new tire has more tread than the old one being replaced (unless you're replacing due to punctures or other defects).

Will it be a problem? It won't be the absolute BEST possible ride, but really not a problem. As always, with a new fresh tire, be sure to take it easy for the first 100 miles, to get used to the feel, and to wear off the factory shine. You're comfort and familiarity is really the potential problem with a new tire--expect that the ride will be different, the handling, etc. For each major road condition type, be sure to test the behavior. Curves that are banked vs. flat, road surfaces (concrete vs. blacktop), rubberized roads vs. traditional, stopping/breaking, swerving, etc. As you face each condition with the new tire, keep caution at your side.

Tire composition, and analysis is a potetentially very scientific. One could argue for a lifetime, and on paper, these things can be compared constantly, but it all comes down to first hand experience in use. Personally, I prefer to used matched sets when buying new ones, but at the same time, I like to explore the advances and cost savings from a variety of manufacturers. New compositions and designs from the 'off brand' mfgs are getting REALLY good nowadays. I have yet to be really disappointed when trying some of the new brands for my vintage honda. I do try to stay away from the absolute cheapest tires, and always do match tire type (radial vs. bias), and especially, load range and speed ratings. Make sure the new tire matches these three requirements and you'll likely really like the performances vs. an old worn tire.

What type of car battery do I need for my 2002 cavalier?

You should check your old one and try to match all categories The thing about batteries is the cca or cold cranking amps .But it is always best to match the one from the factory and when you buy a new one take the old one with you there is usually a core charge if you dont,Also if you take it in they can match it up for you
