Question about Mitsubishi WD-65731 65" HDTV
When i turn on the tv theres no picture but there is sound and it will be on for about a min. or two then it turns off and a red light turns on
I have the same tv as you with the same problem. I'm sorry I have no solution for you but I can tell you that it will keep happening over and over and over again. We have had ours for just about 3 years now and have had to replace the lamp 6 times (it does the same thing to us, sound but no picture and then turns itself off) you can try to push the system reset button on the front panel of your tv but most likely that won't work. We have also replaced the fan and the light fixture twice. Best Buy (where we bought the tv) has now spent double what we originally spent on it just to "fix" it. I would recommend fixing the bulb and selling it as quick as you can unless you want to spend over $1000 a year on maintenance. We know 2 other people with the same tv just a smaller size and they have both had the same problems we are having. This model obviously has a major problem but neither Mitsubishi or Best Buy want to do anything about it other than temporarily fix it until my warranty wares out. Get out while you can is my advice to you.

I just had my bulb blow I am a 52 year young woman and was able to remove the bulb and order another one. No issues if it gives me the same amount of time the last one did I can't complain. Air flow is good just has lots of hours on it. My suggestion is to blow it out before replacing the bulb to get all the dust off the fan and make sure your fan is working properly if not replace it's not that hard.

I also unplugged from the wall, and did the reset procedure. That worked a few times and then it didn't work anymore. Thanks for the help, just wanted to warn it may only work temporarily.
