Try cleaning as much of the ink as possible. If still unable to get most of it out you may need to have a profesional cleaning done by a technician.

My lexmark X5470 only able to print with only 2 colors but 1 more color does not appear. is it because of the printer head or the connection.

Hi,
The problem may be due to a faulty printhead or maybe the ink is dry inside the cartridge. Try the following set of instructions this has helped me resolved several print quality problems.

Printer does not recognize carts

I have refilled my cartridges many, many times. A messy job, but well worth the savings. Never over fill, handle carefully.
The printer will give an error message, but just press cancel, do not order a new cartridge, Your refilled cartridge will work on the lexmark x5470. Good luck.

Lexmark x5470 all in one printer-low ink level

Most likely the cartridge is no longer usable. The ports will eventually become to clogged or the fiber inside the cartridge will not permit the ink to make it to the port and not read as a full cartridge.
