Question about Olympus Stylus 840 Digital Camera
The camera is not reading the card correctly, so it's giving that message. The fingers of the card and the contacts of the card inside the camera need to be cleaned, as a first step. You can use a qtip and alcohol to clean the fingers inside the camera- do not bend them or use a lot of force, but try get them as clean as you can. Hopefully, this will work. If it doesn't, there is a chance that the card is bad. Try another one that has worked, if you have one, then you will know if the card's bad or not. Other than trying those steps, service will be required. Make sure you get an estimate first, since the cost of repair can often exceed replacement value. Good luck, and hope the cleaning fixes the problem.
