Does the AC adapter plug wobble where it plugs into the charging jack? If so, the jack's connections have broken free from the motherboard, so you can't charge the battery or power the notebook without it. Fujitsu won't let us "common folk" have access to service manuals. I had a Fujitsu, same problem, and I couldn't make it work any less, so I winged it, and succeeded.
Expensive to have a repair shop fix. If you want to try, email me at jacobson@sonic.net. I'll tell you how I did it (Lifebook C2240). It might be similar for yours.
