Motor oil leaking

How could you tighten the screws and have them loose again? That does not make any sense. Get specs and use torque wrench this time.

Water leaks out the back of my bunn coffee maker. i took it a part and cleaned it but it did not help, is there anything else i can do?

Take top off by unpluging machine then removing the 2 screws where you add water.
Pry lid off ( where you pour water with a knife)
Remove 4 screws that hold top on.
Check this tank for leaks at sink.
inspect rest of plumbing and look at the brass pipe that goes into the tank and has 2 wires into it. The gasket / and washer here might be eroded or damaged.
possible to fix if you get the right parts.

I have a bunn coffee grinder that keeps on jamming up everytime you put coffee beans in it. I took the front part off to clean it out every time it jams, but it keeps on doing the same thing. The model bunn...

It sounds as though your grind is out of adjustment. The grinder is probably set too fine. I have not worked on a G3 grinder but I would think it is like the Bunn G2. On the front knob you will find 2 small set screws and one larger adjustment screw (in the middle of the knob)
1. Set the selector knob to finest setting (Espresso or Turkish)
2. Loosen the 2 set screws about 2 turns.
3. Activate the start switch (you must activate the "bag switch" behind the chute)
4. With the grinder running, SLOWLY turn the center screw clockwise only until you hear a very slight whirring sound (this is the burrs touching).
5. Then, back off the center screw counter-clockwise about 1/8 of a turn, shut off grinder and re-tighten the set screws.
Check the grind in the "drip" setting by running a few beans through... the grounds should be about the consistency of sand. You should get a better flow through the machine with the grind adjusted properly. You may want to check the cleanliness of the hopper in the top... I have seen these dirty enough to impede the falling of the beans to the grinder.
Also, whenever you remove (for cleaning) the 2 larger screws that hold on the front "plate", be sure to put them back in evenly... kind of like one would with a wheel on a car- Finger-tight then slightly tighten each on a little at a time (back and forth) until tight.
Hope this helps.

Leaks water from the top resevoire

Either your fill tank is clogged, or your washer seal is cracked. You will need to remove the top of your Bunn to access this area. In the resevoir you will see a large nut with a drain hole. First try clearing the hole with a tooth pick and pour water in the basin. If it flows you have good drainage. Now, with the top still removed, pour water in the basin while checking for leaks. If a leak is present you should remove your drain nut and inspect the clear white looking washer on the underside. If it is cracked you can replace it with a gasket from Bunn. If you are tight on time and cash, a non rubber heat proof water hose gasket will suffice until yours arrives from Bunn. Replace and re-tighten the basin and drain nut (do not over tighten) .

Yes Bunn will send you a repair kit free of charge. Just apply a bead of silicon below the rubber gasket before you tighten it down and it will solve the problem.

Bunn B10-B leaks

I used Foxhollowrun's solution and went to my local hardware store (Menard's). You can purchase 3/4" Hole Grommets typically found in the electrical department. The brand I purchased was Gardner Bender Model GHG-1575 3/4" Hole Grommets. Here is all that you need to do (very quick and easy):

1) Break away the brittle pieces from the original hole in the resevoir.

2) Remove the old rubber / plastic washers - I found I didn't need them. However, hang onto your metal washer that the drain screw goes through.

3) Slip the 3/4" grommet around the hole.

4) Place the original metal washer on top of the grommet.

5) Screw the drain screw back into the heater which will seal the grommet via pressure. Be sure not to over tighten it - I just snugged mine up.

6) Put everything back together, rinse several pots of water through it, check for leaks, and you should be good to go.

As Foxhollowrun indicated, you may need to tighten the drain screw a bit if you do have a leak. I lucked out - it worked the first time. I believe it cost me about $2 to fix. Also, I did not need any caulk. If you do use caulk, I was told you need to use food-grade caulk.

One last note - as Foxhollowrun indicated, the grommets are quick thick which is why I removed all of the old washers. The original metal washer is just thin enough to allow the drain screw to be reinstalled.

Thanks to Foxhollowrun for a great remedy!

Bunn Coffee Maker Leaks out the bottom

I have an older BUNN B10 pour-o-matic that I thought was leaking from the bottom. Upon close inspection, I found that it was leaking from the worn out washers located on the top of the tank, allowing water to run down the sides of the stainless steel tank. There's a great fix offered on that suggests going to a hardware store and buying a Gardner Bender GHG-1575 rubber grommet with a 3/4" hole and install it into the large hole in the basin. Then place a metal washer on top of the grommet and snug it up with the threaded fitting. Many folks say it's a great fix. I went a different route. I called BUNN customer service and spoke to a very nice woman who understood my needs and sent out a free repair kit that contained a new fitting, washer, and seal. I received it in a few days and it's working great. Beats going out and buying parts for a work around repair. BTW, the repair kit is called "Universal Retail Seal Replacement Kit #37091.0000"
