Water pressure to upper arm is inconsistent, sometimes enough to spin the arm and sometimes just trickles thru. Arm is clean, aligned.

Hello N, thanks for your post!
I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher does not have consistent water pressure through your spray arm. If the arm is clean it could be an issue with your water pressure or possible spray arm. You may need to verify your water pressure to assure it is between 20-120 PSI. If your water pressure is correct you may need to seek assistance from a professional technician to help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Why won't my upper arm spin?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the upper arm is not spinning in your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB635RF. First, check to make sure that your water pressure is between 30 and 120 PSI. If the water pressure is not good in the area your dishwasher is located, try not to use any other water in your home while using your dishwasher. Secondly, make sure that there are no tall dishes that could possibly be blocking the upper arm from spinning. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dishwasher status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best regards-

The dishwasher runs fine except I am not getting any water to it.

turn the valve under the sink off. remove the suppy hose from the dishwasher and hold in a bucket. turn the water supply back on slowly and check how much water pressure you have. if it is weak, replace the hose. if it is fine, then the water supply solenoid is most likely faulty and can be tested with a voltmeter.

Frigidaire dishwasher noticeably louder - circulation motor?

Try to position the machine, so that you can run the cycle and watch the dish washer. Remove the back panel and hear the sound of origination. Take suitable action as per your convenience. You can clean & replace the bearings if they are worn or replace as a whole unit.

TOP RACK NOT CLEANING DISHES

Possible that the motor impeller has good particles in it, causing poor water pressure, which would be most evident on the top rack. You would have to remove the spray arm, then the filter, then the torx screws to get at impeller....unfortunately, that model of dishwasher isn't the greatest in the first place for washing, since it only has the one spray arm.

Bosch SHU 8805 upper arm is getting no water.

replace the upper water arm conduit and wash arm hub as they leak under years of pressure and the o-rings leak water and then it can't hold pressure and supply the upper arm with full pressure water, also replace the center arm conduit if it has one as this will wear out too

Hobart AM 14 model pressure rise

Are you refering to the water pressure gauge near the top of the unit?

If so, during the final rinse/sanitize cycle the gauge should read between 15 and 25 psi.( flow pressure ) and is usually controlled by a water pressure regulator piped into your plumbing near the machine. Once the cycle has finished, it's normal to see the gauge register much higher pressure readings ( static pressure ) This is the water pressure being supplied to your building. Pressures of 60psi+ are not uncommon. What, I think, you're describing is normal.

All the best.

Upper spray arm doesn't move. Replaced inlet

Does it feel free to turn? It's water powered and works in conjunction with the water pump. Do you hear the water/booster pump come on?

Dish washer door leaks

This sounds like a case of the water rising too high in the machine. If your unit has a float to control the water level (located in the wash area), it is likely stuck. Free it by letting water into the machine and then exercising it to get the 'goo' out. If it has a pressure switch located in the motor area, clean out the line.

Frigidaire Dishwasher Problem

by the sounds of it.i think the water inlet valve that lets water into the machine has gone faulty leaving water slowly seep into the machine, you could either replace this valve..or a cheaper solution if you can access the rear of the machine most water supplies would have a small value installed on the incomming supply, you could simply turn off the water till the next time u need to use it.
