Replace the gaskets on your motor. You are going to have to buy a gasket set in order to complete this. As long as you have not tried to start it, you will not have any other issues with your engine. But if you have tried to start the motor then you can possibly of hurt the valves or the piston. So if you did not try to start it then just rebuild the engine with the gasket kit, and everything will be fine after that

Too much oil in my lawn tractor now oil is coming out. what should I do?

drain some of it . or all of it . many times a carb float will stick and fill crankcase with gasoline . when this happens many repair shops put an inline shutoff valve in the fuel line

Motor oil went up a lot

that could be that fuel has leaked past the carb and filled the crankcase . drain it out and replace with new oil then fix the carburetor problem. usually float has stuck down . consider putting a shut off in the fuel line also

CARBURETOR LEAKING OIL AND SMOKING

IT is likely that the carb is leaking fuel and filling the crankcase with fuel. Causing excessive crankcase pressure forcing oil into airbox through the crankcase vent. Check your crankcase for fuel and/ or being overfilled. If fuel is present fix the carb first, then drain and refill crankcase. After all is fixed run the unit outside for a few minutes and let it burn off excess smoke.

carburetor float is either bad or sticking.shut fuel off remove fuel bowl 10 mm bolt once removed pull pin out of float and inspect it at the same time re open fuel valve to allow fuel to push any debris the might be still in the port.re install float and test by slightly pushing the float upward and turn fuel on no fuel should drain unless you release the float if float has any fuel inside replace it if not finish putting it together and problem solved:)

There is oil coming out through the carbs into the four rubber tubes going into what appears to be an (airbox?). Not sure what the box is for. Oil is leaking from box onto the ground through a hose that I...

air boxes usually have a hose coming out of them for just that... to drain the air box of oil or water that gets in it. it doesnt attach to anything, it's just to drain the box onto the ground instead of all over the bike.

Gwtroy bilt pony, how does gas get in the oil

If the carb does not have a backflow preventer on the bottom of the bowl (thing with wires) and the carb float sticks, when the mower is off fuel will drain from your fuel tank into the crankcase. DO NOT RUN in this condition. Clean the carb., drain the oil/fuel mix. Be careful here, when you go to drain the oil/fuel mix it will flow out very fast at you, it is runny like water, it will make a big mess if you are not ready for it. Remember to change the oil filter if you have one. Fill with appropirate amount of oil. Turn motor by hand from the top a few times before trying to start.

I have CraftsmanLT1000 lawn tractor, Smokes heavily.

Many times a dirty air filter will cause this on this style of engine. When the filter is plugged, it creates a 'rich' fuel condition, and the engine smokes heavily, the excess carbon is drawn into the air filter, and plugs it even more.

check spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, choke linkages (for full choke/no choke operation) and crankcase oil.

Crankcase oil can become fuel contaminated, thus overfilling the crankcase and filling the crankcase breather with raw oil/fuel, and this is drawn into the air filter, plugging it, and starting this senerio.

If there is fuel in the crankcase oil, drain completely, and refill with fresh oil. Then you need to look towards the carb for an inlet needle sticking, broken, worn.

I'm assuming this is a 4 cycle engine. If yes check the level of the oil in the crankcase - DON'T over fill, drain some out if over filled. If 2 cycle engine your oil mix is to rich. drain gas from tank and mix a fresh match of fuel with the proper amount of oil.

Drain and change oil

I can't tell you all the particulars from the limited amount of pictures of your bike. -Remove the oil drain bolt on the bottom of the crankcase (the universal bolt size for bikes use a 17mm wrench). -Drain the oil (remember to recycle). -Re-install the drain bolt with a new sealing washer if necessary. -The oil fill cap should be some where on the top of the crankcase. About 1 or 25mm in diameter with a raised tab for turning. -Fill with recommended oil. -There are 2 ways to check oil level on dirt bikes: 1) Oil level check bolt. On the right side cover. 2) Oil level site glass. A 1 round piece of glass on the side of the crankcase. Usually by the kick start & R brake lever. -Always check the oil level with the bike upright (as if you were sitting on it). -Check bolt - fill with oil slowly until oil comes out of the check bolt and re-install it. -Sight glass - fill with oil to cover 3/4 of the sight glass. -Remember to hold the bike upright when adding oil.,
