Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
I'm trying to install a washer in a basement that has a sewer header approx. 6 ft high. Will the washer push water vertically (with a 1" check valve in the discharge line) high enough to reach the sewer header without adding another pump?
Hi there.I would try a load with it at that hieght, fill the machine to its highest water level,if the machine has still got water left in it afterwards then there might be a problem.Let me explain something..Washing machines these days have weak pumps designed with a low velocity, not very powerful.they designed to pump only to a 4 or 5ft head pressure wich is just above the water level height in the machine.most pumps are electric but earlier machines had belt driven pumps running straight from the powerful wash motor.nothing could slow them down.Actually your machine might have the pump directly attached to the motor so your is probably running of the main wash motor..I think you will be fine but try what i said anyway in the beginning.hope this help ya!

This could be a pump, but more than likely its the circut board down in the bottom that controls all that good stuff. Would hate to see you buy a pump (which arent to cheap on their own) and it still be that control board and wiring. Cant see why the city wouldnt be responsible, but thats for another post I guess. That control board sometimes will control the motor, its rotation, and when the pump should come on and go off. Good luck for sure, and let me know how it turns out for you.
