Question about Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

1 Answer

Suction hose not picking up

The hose usually picks up very well and now it is making a strange noise and not sucking up through the hose. the other upright vacuum is working well and sounds like it usually does but, when it switches to the hose it doesn't ****.

I am having the same problem. I can use the "floor" part of the vacuum. Pushing it across the floor, but when unhook the hose to use it - the "noise" the maching normally makes stops as if something is blocking it....and won't **** up anything!

Hi. My dyson dc14 wand works great then all of a sudden if something too big or even just the carpet it makes a sucking noise & the purple round bit in the actual Hoover makes a funny noise & then...

Sounds like a blockage. I have a DC14 and I have never had this problem. You can easily remove the wand from the flexible hose and the flexible hose from the machine to check for a blockage. Don't allow paper or larger items to go into the machine, especially the wand, pick it up by hand first. Find the online manual here: http://www.analogstereo.com/dyson_vacuum_owners_manual.htm

My Miele S3141 canister began acting strange this morning. No suction...so I took off the hose and checked for blockage, (nothing). Now I can't get the hose back on the canister. It just slips ar

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Air filter:
If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up dirt and has no suction the air filter might be clogged. Remove the filter and either clean or replace it as needed.
Exhaust Filter If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the exhaust filter might be clogged. Remove and clean the filter, replace it if its torn or damaged.

Vacuum Hose If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the vacuum hose might be clogged. Remove the hose from the vacuum cleaner, stretch it out straight, shine a bright flashlight in one end and try to see light through it. If no light can be seen, use something to run through the hose and free up the obstruction.
Vacuum Bag If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the vacuum bag might be full. Clean or replace the bag as recommended by the manufacturer.

Dust Cup AssemblyIf the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and has no suction the dust cup assembly might not be installed tightly, or it might be cracked or broken. The dust cup must seal tightly in order to produce the right amount of suction. If it is cracked or broken, replace it. Most glues and adhesives will not successfully seal the crack.
Blower Wheel If the vacuum cleaner won't pick up and there is no suction, the blower wheel might be jammed or broken. Check the blower wheel to be certain it turns freely. If it doesn't, check to see if there is anything rubbing against it. If not, but it's hard to turn, the motor is most likely the problem.

My hose tools wont pick up. when hose tools unattached suction is fine and will **** my hand fiercely, but once tool attached no suction..... how am i gonna pick up cat hair from seats now?! its a dyson...

I have a DC04 and the hose tools are a open hole. The only reason they want pick up is they are blocked. If you say they are sucking your hand when not attached.Make sure the hose is not blocked by taking off the cover at the front.Allso check the cylinder rubber seal is sealing the dust container.Thats the only problem i had with mine.Good luck.

Kirby g5 suction problem

If its not picking up as an upright but does with the hose, youve either not connected the belt or the belt is broken

I have a Kenmore Grab n Go Bagless and it won't pick anything up. I've cleaned the filter and the hose and the roller.

I assume you have no suction?

Could be either a seal is missing or there is either broken impellers on moter or debris caught in impellers or screen protecting impellers. Check to see if you feel air bblowing out or strange noises.

Dyson dc05

your vacuum is not picking up because the infamous dyson has lost suction "which they claim to not do" first you have to make sure the filters are taken out and cleaned, then check the hose and make ure there are no clogs in there. usually they are see through so they will be visable. also make sure there is no debre blocking the cones on the machine
