SOURCE: Minka Aire remote controlled ceiling fan

I have a newer Minka w/ wall controller. The books says to make sure both the wall control and the receiver(up in the fan) are both programmed the same. My receiver has no little switches but has a sticker stating that you need to hold the 'fan off' button down for 3 seconds after turning on the power so the receiver can memorize the program in the wall switch. You have 60 sec to do this after power is turned on. Good luck !

SOURCE: Installing ceiling fan with two switches AND a remote

I have a hampton bay ceiling fan with light fixture all connected to a wall switch and controled by a remote. The light does not work any more and I have replaced the bulb with three different light bulbs and it still won't work. There is a green wire coming off the bracket but there is no ground wire coming in from above. There are two wires coming in from above ( the box in the Attic)
one white and one black and they are connected properly. All the wires are taged from the remote receiver, the fan and the light and are correctly connected. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Minka Aire remote controlled ceiling fan

I have the same problem, except I live in a multi unit condo where many of the occupants own the same fan! You can imagine how  frustrating this is when your fan or light comes on or you can't  agree on a fan speed. Anyway, I spoke to a MinkaAire customer service guy and he tells me that the switches in the receiver are located under the mounting ring. You need to unscrew the ring and it should be located in there. I haven't tried this myself as my fan has a mind of its own as I type and everytime I turn it off to unscrew the mounting ring, the damn thing turns on again.

SOURCE: My fan reversed, but my controller does not have a reverse button

There is a switch on the housing of the fan. It is under the blades and above the lites if you have lights. Also same area as the chains. That is the reverse switch you might have hit it when cleaning the fan. just flip the switch iy goes left to right or reverse.
Good Luck and please rate

if the battery's are good then you broke it and you have to order a new one which you can do by calling the place that you got the fan from tell them what kind of fan you have and let them know that you nead a new remote and they will be able to help you do that.

You called customer care about a Hampton Bay & they sent you Minka Aire??? Hampton Bay is a store brand for Home Depot. If The fan came with a remote, you probably need the one for your fan.

Need to program Hampton Bay Ceiling fan remote control CHO88T7030T, HELP!

Change the battery. This is the first step when troubleshooting a ceiling fan remote. The easiest fix to any remote control problem begins with battery replacement. A 9-volt battery is needed to operate all Hampton Bay ceiling fan remotes.

Check the light switch used for the ceiling fan. The light switch found on the wall must be in the "on" position. This allows the ceiling fan to be operated by remote control

Re-program your remote. If battery replacement fails to get your remote working again, try to reprogram the remote. Open the battery cover you will see 4 dip switches. These switches must be set to the same position as the receiver on the fan. Use the screw driver to move the dip switches either up or down.

Follow the previous step to change the frequency if the ceiling fan is randomly turning on or off. Other electronic devices such as garage door openers can interfere with the ceiling fans receiver, causing it to randomly turn on or off.
