  1. Step 1 Determine how the bulb is accessed: On some models the lens (the red or white plastic part over the light) must be unscrewed from the outside, and on others the bulb is accessible only from inside the trunk. If there are no screws on the lens, you can assume that the bulb must be replaced from inside. Usually there will be a plastic cover that must be removed in order to access the bulb. There may be tabs, screws or small knobs that hold this plastic cover in place.

  4. Step 4 Take the bulb with you to the auto supply store to help you find an exact duplicate.
  5. Step 5 jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep5 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/a00/02/i7/replace-tail-brake-1.5-800X800.jpg'); }); Clean the connection with a wire brush and/or wipe it clean with a rag if there's any corrosion.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE REAR BULB ON A 2006 BUICK LACROSSE

Asuming you mean taillight/turnsignal, and not highmounted brake light:
1.open the trunk
2.Remove 4 wingnuts on trunk trim (there are two on each side)
You can do it by only removing 2 on one side, but it makes a nicer job,
3.Pull back the trunk "trim" the carpeted cardboard
4.Remove 2 wingnuts which hold the taillight assembly in place
Pull out the taillight assembly; you might want to remove (i.e. unattach or unplug) the wiring harness
5.Turn the particular bulb's socket (there's 5 back there: 2 tail, 1 back up, 1 side marker, 1 brake/turn) counterclockwise, and it removes from the assembly, holding the bulb.
6. Pull out bulb and replace.
6. Reverse steps to reassemble.

You can get access to the light bulbs through the trunk. Go by the bad light and pull the carpet back. You will see the bolts/wingnuts there. Take them out and the light assembly should come out, and you can change the bulb from there.
