Hlr5678w lamp does not turn on after replacing bulb

My samsung hlr5678w blew out the bulb. I ordered a new one, complete with new housing. When I insert this into the system and try to turn it on, it makes a few attempts to start up, but then just gives up and goes to three blinking lights on the power button. the lamp never lights up, and it seems to behave exactly the same way if I take out the lamp and try to start it up.

The connecting traces/wires that lead to the bulb are likely the culprit. Check visually for any blackened areas or dark brown-ish areas, or if any wires are touching and whatnot.

My argus 300 projector bulb blew new one won't work

yes could have been a power surge at the time, or fan cooler packed it in, the internal housing inside the Projector would have been too hot with the bulb inside it cooling down without the fan, i would double check all parts near the lamp housing and check to see they have not melted or burnt, also worth checking the fuse as well should be a T-250 Fuse bulb

Dark spot

These bulbs are very sensitive to contamination. When installing a bulb, do not touch it with your fingers, as this will leave your natural oils on it and that will become a hot spot and burn out the lamp.
Use a clean piece of toilet tissue when installing the new lamp to eliminate the above.
Good luck!

Hi, I have a Samsung DLP HLR5667WAX. My bulb just blew and it says it's a L620 BP61-01025A. I can't seem to find this bulb anywhere, does anyone know if the holder plus housing lamp is listed under a...

Hi,You won't be able to find that part # because its not a correct part # it's just one of the #s you can find on the housing.Your part # is BP9600826A and samsung was either putting a small and square lamp or big and round. You will need to pull it out and check which one you need.If you don't want to get lamp by itself simply buy it w the housing and it won't matter which one you get.You can find it here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/Samsung-BP96-00826A-Lamp-Enclosure-p/samsung-bp96-00826a-lamp-enc.htm?Click=48173

Samsung 50" DLP - Lamp Light Blinking after bulb replacement

Listen closely. The tv should make a high pitch whine as it turns on. If it does wait and see if it tries this a few times. If yes then check the bulb, I have seen cases where the lamp shoves the power connector back into the set. If the tv starts with a grown or heavy vibration noise, then your color wheel may have broken and needs replaced.

Wont turn on and front lights blink

Start by checking the lamp, there's no sure fire way to tell if its the lamp or not.Remove the lamp housing door off the back right side of the tv (if you are looking at the back of the tv, it has one black screw holding it in place. Look inside and you'll see the black and silver metal housing. Then loosen the gold screws on each side of the lamp housing. You'll know you're looking at the right thing because there is a black handle that lets you pull the housing straight out (after loosening the screws, the screws wont come completely out). Take into account the amount of time it has been since you replaced the lamp, 3-4 years seems to be about average. You won't really be able to tell if the lamp is burned out or not by looking at it. Sometimes there is a break in the glass tube inside the bowl, sometimes its a white powder in the small bulb at the bottom of the glass tube. Either way, use the stickers on the housing to get your lamp number and order a bulb. Rivervalleyelectronics.net is a great place to look. I use them all the time. Any osram or philips bulb off ebay will work fine too. Email me directly if you need further assistance. Cfoley@hawaii.rr.com Good Luck

I have the same bulb and was told by Replacement Lamps the same thing. No you can not switch the housings. I tried. The bulb is too large and does not fit in the old housing. It is the wrong lamp all together.
