You could try plunging the toilet or using a toilet auger to loosen the object and pull it back out. If that does not work, then you will need to pull the toilet and back-flush to push the object out of the drain and back into the bowl so you can remove it.

You will have to unplug the unit from the GFI, remove all the piping attached, remove the pump completely out the back of the toilet, pry open the lid with a flat head screwdriver, remove 2 screws in front and 1 at the back of the pump then you will be able to remove the motor and pressure chamber out the top of the pump casing. You can inspect the blade and impeller for obstructions.

How to fix toilet bowl stains

Force the brush tip back and forth, especially along the toilet jets (holes under rim), around the water line and on visible stains. Scrub until stains are gone, reapplying cleaner as necessary, then flush twice. To make your toilet bowl clean again, start with a dry bowl so water won't dilute the cleaner.

I have a saniplus. hums constantly, no longer spins when flush toilet/run taps etc. Water just sits there and slowly empties overnight - gravity?

Could be an obstruction in the blade, impeller or the discharge line. Also the starting capacitor may have gone bad and is not keeping up with the head pressure, it may need to be replaced. But i would suggest inspectin the unit first for any obstructions.

Saniplus toilet when toilet is flush the masorator tank leaks around the lid, nnot nice seeing \yuck streaks run down

Is not recommended to use 90 degree elbows in the discharge pipe. Is recommended to use 45 degree elbows back to back with a small piece in between or long sweeping elbows. Using hard 90 degree elbows creates resistance in the discharge pipe and does not allow the unit to pump out the waste as efficiently as it should.

Can I put bleach down a macerator toilet

Of course. Bleach will not harm the toilet or plumbing and will help alleviate odor issues if they exist.

I have a saniplus in a bathroom with a sink & shower. It isn't used often. The water backs up in the shower. The toilet won't flush, only hums. Any suggestions?

If the pump is humming and backing up then there is a blockage on the drain pipe, blades or the impeller. Also the capacitor may have gone bad and it will need to be replaced. The capacitor drives the blade and impeller, if it goes bad then it would just hum and not pump out the waste.

Saniflo Top: Pump

indicates perhaps a faulty pressure switch. otherwise: this happens often in hard water areas due to build up of limescale. Use a descaling agent (acidic) to clean the saniflo - can be introduced via the toilet bowl.

Item in saniflo toilet

Hi,

Yes, depending upon which model you have it *may* be fairly easy. My son decided to put a whole load of 'kando's' down ours!

*** STEP 1 ... DISCONNECT THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY!!!! ***

You'll need to drain the main toilet bowl of water and remove the toilet bowl away from the sanoflo. This may require that you also empty the cistern and stop the water from entering it (do you have an inline valve to the cistern supply pipe?)

When you have emptied the water and removed the toilet bowl there should be a large Jubilee clip attaching the saniflow to the WC waste outlet. Loosten this and remove it so you can see into the saniflo where the WC waste goes.

You should be able to see the object and reach it with your hands. I would suggest wearing some rubber gloves to protect your hands from getting gunk in cuts etc.

If you cannot get to the object, you'll need to empty out the other pipes to the Saniflo and remove the unit. When you have done this you'll need a star driver to open up the unit and get to the object inside. I woudl suggest that since most of the saniflo range have an internal grille to stop objects such as this actually hitting the macerator that you should be able to reach it just by disconnecting the WC waste connection

Hope this helps .. good luck
