AWESOME SUGGESTION! I, too, wrestled with the post for an hour. Hair dryer did the trick! Thank you!

I hope that you have figured this out by now, but heat the plastic pillar up with a hair dryer for about a minute. Then rock it in as the video shows. If this does not work, then you have not heated the pillar for long enough. It will still take a little force, but I only weigh 100 pounds and I was able to put two of these cars together in a couple of hours using this method.

Heating the hook part of the plastic pillar with a hair dryer with an extra hot setting for about a minute works great !!!! I tried many of the other tips but this is the only one that worked. I must have spent about 2 hours trying to get the pillars in. It took me about a minute to snap in each pillar with the hair dryer tip. Thanks a lot for the tip !! (This tip should be included in the instructions).

@breibreibrei: unbelievable--I was cursing at those pillars for almost an hour before I decided to look for help online and saw your tip. Hair dryer on extra hot for 1 minute...they slide in no prob. You're a lifesaver!!! :)

The front pillars of the cozy coupe don't fit

Ok after three hours I figured it out.
Once you have the hook in the position and all that is left is to apply pressure to press it in. Instead of using your hand like the directions and the instructional video shows. You have to put your foot in the back of the body and put your knee against where you hand is suppose to push and push using your knee with your foot in the back of the body as support. This whole body force snaps it in.

Can not assemble the poles that hold the roof up.

My diagram showed holes in the roof section that would accommodate the round peg-like nub on the pillar. Without the hole it was impossible to get it to fit. Given that you will be screwing both the top and bottom rear pillars to the roof and the base anyway, I saw no need for the peg-llke nubs. I cut them off and screwed everything together as per instructions. Works perfectly.

Roof supports don't attach to the car

They will go in, you just have to keep rocking them back and forth. I know, it is so hard. I worked on it off and on for two days and finally got it. I had to be standing up and putting all my weight on it and just keep rocking front to back. Good luck.

Cannot get the roof supports on.

I found after 3 hours of struggle, that by putting a VERY light coating of vegetable oil on both the posts and the mating part, pressing down on the post and rocking them back and forth (frint and back) the posts slipped in easier.
