I think i have a worm on my computer.how do i get rid of it.which antivirus

Sometimes when i virus gets in the registry Its hard to get rid of them.antivirus programs sometimes cant eliminate these threats.
Best way to do this..Honestly re-install windows fresh,Because usually these worms and virus wont go away depending on how far its gone.

Download these 3 antivirus then install 1 by 1 in computer then update it's definition from internet .
Then scan your computer in boot time.Then it removes all virus.
Make sure after scanning with 1 antivirus uninstall that antivirus then install seconds antivirus.
Then all virus are removed.

Per their website, there is the following info on your worm:
The first version of this virus which is recognized by AVG as Downadup (alternativelly I-Worm.Generic) has been detected at the end of November / begining of December, 2008. Currently there are over 300 unique versions of this virus. AVG detects and protects against all known variants of the worm.

What this will do is reset your computer back to factory defaults like you had just got it out of the box. This would fix the problem for sure. Of course you could also go here as well and download the win32.brontok removal tool. http://www.bitdefender.com/[email protected] This program will remove any instance of the worm on your computer and get rid of it. This way you won't have to restore your computer back to factory defaults.

If you have a worm virus in the system then you will never get rid of it!!
If you have managed to stop it in its tracks download "spybot search and destroy" this is free software and will locate the worm virus and hopefully destroy it, you can also try AVG8 this is also free software, before you use this software you must firstly unistall the old antivirus software

Take the backup.Format the "c" drive.Load os and install a legal copy of antivirus with anti spyware.update regularly.

yes use kaspersky antivirus 7or higher version to delete any type of worms in ur system.it really works.having two antivurus is not recommended as it slows down ur system.if u find any type of that worms or virus present in c:\windows or c:\program files please don delete it , as it may make ur os unstable. so try restoring ur computer to earlier date
