Unable to like or share in fb

Facebook's "Like" function allows you to express support or enjoyment for the posts your friends share to the news feed or your wall. When you "Like" a shared item, it notifies the original poster and anyone else who has liked or commented on the post. By using this function, you can participate in the discourse about the post without actually needing to type a single word.

Navigate to Facebook and sign in to your account. Locate the shared post you want to "like." Try scrolling through your news feed or navigating to the page belonging to the person who shared the post if you have difficulty finding it. Click the "Like" link, located below the shared post. You will see a message saying "You like this" under the link once the "like" has been successfully submitted. Unblock facebook

Hi.......
Hello....................

Trouble Using Facebook »
I am blocked or disabled

Blocked: You are unable to use a specific feature, but you can still access your account. Facebook has policies to stop behavior that other users may find annoying or abusive. A block is set when Facebook systems determine that the user was adding friends or using a feature repeatedly in a short period of time after being warned to slow down. If your account is blocked, you will still be able to log on to Facebook, but you will not able to add friends, post, or use another feature temporarily.

I am blocked from using a feature. Facebook has policies to stop behavior that other members may find annoying or abusive. Even if you did not have this intention, we determined that you posted something that violated our standards or were repeatedly using the same feature in a short period of time.

Here's what you should keep in mind about your block:
  • This temporary block will last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
  • Attempting to use this feature while you are blocked can extend the block.
  • We cannot lift this block for any reason, so please be patient and refrain from using this feature for a few days while waiting for this block to be removed.
  • Once you are allowed to use this feature again, you must significantly slow down or stop this behavior. Further misuse of site features may result in more blocks or your account being permanently disabled.
Unfortunately, Facebook cannot provide any specifics on the rate limits that are enforced. The threshold at which you are warned is not a specific number, but rather determined by different factors, such as speed, time, and quantity.Unfortunately, Facebook cannot provide any specifics on the rate limits that are enforced. I am blocked from sending messages. If you've been prevented from sending messages on Facebook, it may be because you have sent a high volume of messages recently or Facebook members have reported your contact as unwelcome. Please note that these blocks can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.

Once your block is complete, please remember to only send friend requests and messages to people who you already know personally. Otherwise, additional limits may be placed on your account. Keep in mind that it's possible to run into a block based on how many messages you send and how fast you send them. It's also possible to be blocked when either starting a new message thread or replying to a message. Deleting old messages will not allow you to send more messages.

My personal Facebook account is disabled. There are different reasons why you may not be able to access your account and unique ways to contact Facebook for each case. Therefore, it is important to be sure that you are using the correct channel when submitting a request for help. First, identify the correct reason why you are unable to access your account from the three reasons that are listed below. Then, follow the instructions listed by the reason that pertains to you.

Disabled for violating Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities
Facebook accounts that have been reported or detected for policy violations may be disabled by Facebook. Possible reasons include, but are not restricted to:
  • Continued prohibited behavior after receiving a warning or multiple warnings from Facebook
  • Unsolicited contact with others for the purpose of harassment, advertising, promoting, dating, or other inappropriate conduct
  • Use of a fake name
  • Impersonation of a person or entity, or other misrepresentation of identity
  • Posted content that violates Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (this includes any obscene, pornographic, or ******** explicit photos, as well as any photos that depict graphic violence. We also remove content, photo or written, that threatens, intimidates, harasses, or brings unwanted attention or embarrassment to an individual or group of people)
Please review Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities to learn more about specific types of conduct and content that are not permitted on the site.

Security disabled Accounts that have been reported or detected as compromised or phished may be disabled by Facebook. If you think your account was disabled for security reasons, refer to the Security section of the Help Center to find the correct contact form.

Can't log in due to access issues
If you are disabled, you will clearly see a "Disabled" message when you try to log in to your account. If you do not see this message, then your account is not disabled and you are simply experiencing login issues. You should refer to the Login and Password section of the Help Center to find the correct contact form.

Examples of login issues include:
  • Inability to log in due to password problems
  • Inability to log in due to an error message (e.g., "Site Maintenance," "Invalid/Unregistered Email Address," etc.)
  • Inability to log in due to forgetting one's login email address or password
  • Other technical difficulties accessing Facebook

Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Why didn't my friend request go through? Facebook is a place for connecting with friends, family, and other people you know personally.

If you've been prevented from adding friends on Facebook, it's likely because friend requests you've sent have gone unanswered or members reported your contact as unwelcome.

You'll be allowed to add friends again soon. At that time, please remember to only send friend requests and messages to people who you already know personally. Otherwise, additional limits may be placed on your account.

Why did you do this page ?

If your running LINUX and browsing using Firefox

then follow this guide

The firefox extension for facebook is a wonderful thing. Once you have installed it and logged in, it will tell you when you get poked, get friend requests, or get messages.
s.jpg This is what the toolbar looks like before logging in. You can tweak the look of the toolbar so that it shows (or hides) certain things. Also, the toolbar will popup a brief window in the corner of the screen when someone changes their status, has new wall posts, etc. All in all, a useful extension.
After much trial and error, I discovered what I needed to do to fix the problem with the toolbar getting "stuck".
  1. Shutdown firefox
  2. Go into your mozilla preferences directory. On linux, this is something like ~/.mozilla/firefox/default.3ra/ (the last directory is likely to be named something different).
  3. Edit the localstore.rdf file.
  4. Delete the RDF description for the facebook-toolbar. Search for and delete the following. It will be on 2 lines in the file, but I've broken it up here so that you can see it: <rdf : Description RDF:about="chrome://browser/content/
    browser.xul#facebook-toolbar"
    currentset="facebook-sidebar-toggle,separator,facebook-link-menu,
    separator,facebook-notification-poke,facebook-notification-reqs,
    facebook-notification-msgs,facebook-notification-separator,
    facebook-share,spring,facebook-login-info" />
Once you've deleted that section and saved the file, you should be able to restart firefox, log into the facebook toolbar, and be in good shape. Hope this helps someone out there!

Instructions
  1. Download the application. The Application is available through the BlackBerry website (see Resources below). Have the download link sent to the email address you use on your BlackBerry. Once the email arrives in your BlackBerry inbox, click on the link provided and follow the prompts. You will need to type in your Facebook user name and password to complete the download process. Once the application is loaded you will see a row of icons at the top of the screen.
  2. Set your Facebook status. Use the track ball to click on the first icon (which looks like a person's silhouette with a phone) and update your own status and see your friends' recent status updates. It may take a minute to upload the status list so be patient.
  3. Add mobile photos. Use the track ball to click on the camera icon, and a browser box will pop up with a camera option and the pictures from your phone. If you pick the camera option it will take you into your camera, and from there you can take a picture. Once the picture is taken, press the "Menu" button. Select "Send to Facebook" from the pop-up menu and that photo will post to your Facebook account. You can give the picture a caption and "Tag" the photo before you upload it. If you want to post a picture you have already taken, you can scroll through the photos in the browser box. Select the picture, and it will give you the caption and tag options.
  4. See your friends. The next icon will bring up your friends list. If you highlight a friend's name and press the menu button, a menu will pop up allowing you to poke him, write on his wall, send a message and view his profile.
  5. Add friends, poke and write on walls. The next three icons are pretty self explanatory. The silhouette with the "+ 1" allows you to send friend invites. Just type in the email addresses and a message and click on "Invite." The poke action is next on the icon list; just type in your friend's name and click poke. The wall function is similar: Type in your friend's name and then it will let you type a message.
  6. Check and send mail. From here you can see your Facebook Inbox and compose messages. Only messages you have received since you added the application will show up. To send a message, type in the name of the recipient and an email box will pop up.
  7. Get your notifications. Each time a notification comes through, an alert will be sent to your phone. To access the alert, go to the Facebook icon on your menu. The notifications will be listed like your text messages and emails. You can act directly on some of the notifications from the listing. Other notifications require you to log in to the mobile or Web versions of Facebook to continue.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

My account is disabled.

This is happening with countless facebook users all around the globe everyday. Facebook disables the accounts of users who are doing suspicious submissions. The definition of suspicious, often means just using the facebook too much. Normally, Facebook warns the people and gives them one more chance to change themselves and at times they just terminate the account suddenly and permanently. Mostly, they turn back the disabled accounts, automatically after a calm down or after sending a humble request to the facebook authorities. But in some cases, they just ban the account and forget it.

Facebook has not declared about what type of bad behavior can get the facebook account disabled, and this is the only reason that is leaving the people confused, angry or desperate when they gets the message ACCOUNT DISABLED. I have listed some of the most common reasons on "why the facebook accounts are disabled?" so that people can keep their accounts safe from getting it disabled by facebook. Keep in mind that the list mentioned below is absolutely not a complete one and as the time passes, policies will keep on changing according to requirement, we will have to live with a bit hesitation while using Facebook.

Here are the reasons that can kick you off from facebook:

• You did not use your real name

Never use nickname (or initials)in lieu of the name on your birth certificate, because Facebook will find you and spit you out.

• You joined a lot of groups

Keep in mind that the limit set per user is 200. More than that just looks desperate, isn't it?

• You posted countless messages on a wall or in a group

Even one of my close friend had his account disabled for "excessive evangelism."

• You posted in n number of groups, and too many user's walls

You may be axed for being too verbose in too many places. That's what spammers do, silly. On Facebook it is better--or at least safer--to be seen than heard.

• You sent the friends request to too many people

This was to be the prime cause of disabled accounts in past, but Facebook has set a maximum number of 5000 friends that can help you to protect from yourself.

• Your school/organization affiliation is doubtful

The overlords are sometimes not very trusting, and they may accuse you of not graduating from Harvard (or Plum Senior High School). The impertinence! Better have your diploma ready.

• You're poking too many people

We've heard this from multiple sources, and it's easy enough to avoid. Save the pokes for people you *really* like, as mum always said. But beware the odd FB app that pokes on your behalf.

• For advertising your app on wall posts

The line between spam and self-promotion is a thin one, but let it be known that pimping your shiny new Facebook app is definitely considered SPAM.

• Using duplicate text in multiple messages

Some people paste a generic welcome message into friend requests to save time. DON'T DO THIS! It makes you look like a spammer. (Ironically, pro spammers are probably randomizing their messages to avoid this trap)

• You are a cow, dog, or library

Being a real person is not enough, you must be a **** sapien. Accounts have been deleted for cows, dogs and libraries.

• You are under eighteen years old

According to one report a user's account was suspended when they suspected her of being under 18. She was required to enter a work email address to prove her maturity, at which point her account was reinstated. [note: other users have pointed out that being under 18 is fine if you're part of a High School group, though underage home schoolers have been told to bugger off]

• You wrote offensive content

Reports of "sudden death" on accounts have been reported by users who were told they had posted offensive content, but were not provided details of the offense.

While your account is unconfirmed, you will not be able to send messages, write on your friends’ Walls, post in discussions, poke, tag your friends in photos or notes, comment on content, join groups, or fan Pages. This limit is in place due to security reasons.
