Make sure (and be careful about it being unplugged and discharged) that the prongs/jack used to charge it are making contact. A bent prong or loose jack can cause problems like that to arise.
If nothing's bent or loose, then perhaps the battery IS dead. Call the manufacturer support line and they should be able to fully troubleshoot your problem. Most companies are nice enough that they'll cover you in situations like this one, especially if you make a scene about it if they're indifferent.

Headset won't recharge battery must be dead

That may very well be the case. There is a finite number of charge / discharge cycles a battery can handle. This number varies based on the level of discharge prior to charging, temperature, etc. Some devices can operate via charger alone - and others require a small amount of battery power and a charger to operate. A classic tell tale sign is an older device that has been used regularly and charged every day or night - but was allowed to fully discharge once - due to failure to connect to the charger. Attempting to charge may indicate it is accepting a charge but goes completely dead / dark when the charger is removed. That usually indicates a battery that was drained so low that it will need to be replaced. Good luck!

It likely that rechargable battery is not taking a charge any further or the contacts point of plug are damaged. Sorry to say "it's dead, Jim."

Seems like Li-Ion battery is fully discharged. In this case internal charge-controller comes to shutdownd.
Before you send Headset to trash you can try to open it, locate battery, define it's legs - "+" and "-". Then try to connect two new AA battery (in-series) with pieces of wires to correct legs: "+" to "+" and "-" to "-" for up to one minutes.
Then try to charge by adaptor in 1 or more hour.
If you can, try to measure voltage on battery during charging or after: voltage should be about 3.6 v.
Try to switch on. If OK you can assemble headset but remember: the volume of battery can be less than new and maybe you'll need to charge it more frequently.

My bluetooth is not charging. the ligth on the charger comes on but on the actual bluetooth the light doesnt come on. Is this fixable or do i need to buy a new one?

Try and find a similar charger and test the device on that. if you have the same results than either the battery in the device is completely dead, or the device itself has malfunctioned and needs to be repaired/replaced. if the device is still under warranty you can try and contact the manufacturer for help or a repair/replacement.

This is probably a problem with the internal battery.
Some devices do not need to be charged for a very long time as this leads to eventual destruction of their battery.
The only way i can specify for you is for you to do the following.
Put it on charge and try turning it on, see if it comes on. If it does, the battery may be spoiled so cannot retain charge to power the device as it may have been over charged.
Also, if this doesn't work for you, the only thing you can do is to send it to an accessories store for check up or for repairs.
Hope this helped you? Please comment for more information.

the battery's are most likely dead, (like the real dead) after many uses of rechargeable battery's they slow stop holding charge at all, make sure when you get a new rechargeable battery you fully charge it once and fully discharge it once this will increase batterys life time

Motorola H700 charge issues

The rechargeable battery may have reached it's limit of recharges. You can try leaving it on until you no longer see life (any light) coming from the H700. You want to drain it completely. Than charge it, (take note of how long it takes to reach full). If it dies like before in 15 minutes than the H700 is dead. You can take it to a Motorola store & might be able to exchange it for less than you first bought it. Or you can go here (Click the link) for a new one. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=Motorola+H700&image12.x=13&image12.y=15

Luck!

My headset does not hold its charge

Usually Lithium-Ion batteries have a Memory effect, ie. the battery should be 100% consumed then only recharged. If the battery is only 40% used and recharged then the battery will give you only 40% of it's total charge. The battery starts showing you empty after it is 40% consumed even it was 100% charged. Now there is solution for this-Drain battery upto full, store it in a cool place like Frigde then charge it full then again use it upto last. Repeat this procedure for 2-3 times.Your battery should come to normal state. Also check the charging current of the charger. The charger might also be faulty.
