Question about Plantronics Radio Communications

1 Answer

I have 5 ct-14 headsets working on the avaya acs partner telsets thru the aux jack. The customer complains of an ocassional click on the line. After several months of trying to isolate the problem, we found that if we disconnected the headsets, the problem left. I contacted another contractor who has used the ct-14 for this same application many times and has not experienced this problem. I am wondering if you can shed some light on this problem. Thank You. Hi, in most cases like this, it is usually caused by the aux jack hole where you insert your headset in. might be damaged inside or bridging to connections inside and is affecting it when you try to use it with the headset.

First you can try out another headset and see if it will do the same, and also check the phone with another headset to know exactly how to resolved the problem.

After checking both the headset and the phone, am sure you will find a solution faster.

I would advice, if it is still on guarantee and is a newly bought headset, you can take it back for replacement, in other to cause you extra spending's.

Take care.

When I plug CS55H into the splitter the phone says it is in use and I cannot receive any incoming calls.

CS55H wireless headset - There are a couple of things you can try to make sure there isn't some issue with compatibility between phone and headset. First, let's clarify some things: Is the CS55H being used in a home office with a single line? If not, is it being used with Avaya Partner telephones (only office system it will work with). On the Partner phones the CS55H works best through the AUX jack located on the bottom of the phone next to the telephone line input.

Now, the couple of things you can try. This may sound silly but make sure your phone, or any remote unit, is turned off. Second, disconnect the phone and splitter from the wall and connect the CS55H directly into the wall jack. Make a test call, with your mobile for instance, and the headset should alert you to the incoming call. If it works like it's supposed to, you may have to separate the two devices.

Good Luck from Headsets Direct!

The partner voice messaging system would be a card that looks like the processor card , It should also have a green sticker on the face of it identifing it as such.

Yes it can. Depending on the type of voice mail attached to your system you can both have the lines answered with a seperate main greeting (partner messaging can do this) or answered by a seperate mailbox (all partner voice mails).

Lucent Partner Mail VS - need cordless phone

Each of the modular jacks at the cabinet will accept a single line telephone. I don't think you can "bridge" a phone on 12 year old software, but if there is a spare jack, it will work with a plain old cordless phone. Plug one in, dial 10, and read what extension you have. Here's a manual for a 4.1 Partner system to help you program the ringing. Programming is done from the display phone at extension 10 or 11.

After you find the extension, save yourself the trouble and go to page 447 of the attached pdf. It details how to set the Automatic line preference and ringing of the cordless. The difference is that you will select your lines AFTER the intercom as in ** LIC RIC 1 2 3 4, or 4 3 2 1. This is important! You'll then be able to dial "9" to get an outside line in forward or reverse order and still call internally.

If you find you don't get an outside line when you dial "9", then keep reading the manual, you need to put your lines in groups.
