Question about NetGear WG111 802.11g/b Wireless Adapter
We have roadrunner with wireless in our home. I moved our Dell Optiplex desktop to another room in the house......it was connected to the wireless box. We use several of the netgear WG111 adapters on homeschool computers in the house so I used the software disk to install the adapter to the Dell. The software/driver will download but when you connect the new hardware to the USB and try to set it up, the computer cannot find the software. Is it a windows XP compatability issue?
It could be, maybe you can try on other versions of xp, maybe try another xp service pack, and of course it should be genuine. non-genuine os' specially xp, have edited or modified databases often leading to some hardware issues. try browsing also, microsof knowledge base and see if there are any hotfixes for your problem.
