Paper jam in brother laser printer Hl 2140 can help plse?

One of the main causes for paper jams is the presence of dirt, dust, or debris in your toner cartridge. The paper coming into the cartridge would get stuck. So clean your printer regularly. Remove the dust from the printer. Also find out whether any jams occurred in the sensor hole in the upper part of the rotating drum. Do not touch the roller while cleaning. If the oil in your body gets into the roller, the printing media cannot roll over it properly and you can't get rid of the printer problem.

Please try to remove the program for a brother and then desconnect the cable, Turn on the printer and try enter in menu to print a test if that is working try to connect the cable in the printer and add the program of the brother in your computer.

Open the front door, remove the cartridge/drum...slowly slight the paper out. if it jams at the back ...do the same but rotate the fuser gear..if it jams on the tray not pull as it would cause the paper to break and sensors might get dmaged,

Turn the printer off then on, wait a few secondes then press the GO button 3 times quickly.

The printer settings will print. It will show you how many pages have been printed as well as number of paper jams and errors etc.

ok on the drum slide your fingers all the way to the right and left. there should be a lever, pull that and it should pop right open. i hope this helps

consult your manual for maximum and minimum thickness of paper ... i suspect tracing paper will jam the printer

Make sure you are letting it warm up long enough.
