Hi thanks for asking, the reason your monitor is experiencing that problem is because the VGA cable" that is the cable that connect the monitor" to the computer may not be properly connected or it may faulty faulty it may have a bend or broken pin. Please check the connections properly and check the cable carefully for bend or broken pin, if the pin is bend or broken you should replace the VGA cable.

Hi thanks for replying,if you change the cable and you still have the same problem please reinstall the drivers for the monitor. If you have the CD you can use to reinstall the drivers, if you don't have the monitor software CD you can go to http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downlo... and choose your monitor, download and install the driver for your monitor, you should also try using the monitor on another computer to see if you get the same problem and you should also check the monitor settings to see if they are correct the buttons are located on the monitor these buttons are use to configure the monitor settings.

I wasn't able to find a 940MW. I do see a 941MW and a 940NW.
The 941MW manual has some basic instructions on page 36.

The 940NW manual can be found here.

Good luck!
