Microphone Not Working

Hi, yesterday I bought a Trust Headset HS - 2400. I first used it this morning whilst I was trying to set up the Speech Recognition on Windows Vista. When using the program to set up speech recognition, I realised that the green bar to show that the microphone is in use, had gone grey. I tried to record a clip on Audacity, but no sound could be detected. Within the first 20 minutes of using my headset, my computer could no longer detect sound. I've tried unplugging and plugging back in, I've been all over the internet and read the manual on how to setup my headset. I'm not sure what to do next. Try right clicking on the speaker icon on your system tray. Make sure that the mic volume is not on mute.

Looking for windows 7 drivers for the Genius hs-500x headset


The Genius hs-500x headset simply plugs into your headphone and microphone jacks on your computer.

The microphone jack is red and the headphone jack is green.

The audio settings are changed within the communication application you are using like skype or gaming.

Set up voice command and it calls the wrong person.


According to the user guide you tap the headset for voice recognition selection. However sometimes it may be the error of the phone not recognizing the name you want to call. Sometimes the names are similar in speech (Craig, Greg, Tim, Kim) you may want to change to last names or a combo of a name (Billybob). Check your phone recognition without the headset to see if it is the headset not making the name right. If the headset is still under warranty I would get a replacement.

Hi I installed the Rosetta Stone the problem is that not let me use voice recognition. When microphone set out, I follow the steps, I get right, but then you see a box 1129 One or more of the files...


if you changed the default directory for your language installation, it is likely that UACin Win7/Vista is preventing the installation hence missing files. Either run as admin and add language again or reinstall and let it install in its default location

Headphones and microphone unit Model HS-7P do not seem to be working whilst chatting on Skype.


open skype go to tools from the drop down list select options scroll to audio settings make sure the microphone is using the same as your computers audio
you can make a free test call if you cant get the microphone to work you can select learn about setting up your audio equipment or
control panel sounds and audio devices audio and also voice it

On vista, there is a dialog box that comes up saying the "Wrong Recognizer Version. This application requires a version 7 or higher recognizer. Click OK to pick a different recognizer" and I have an OK...


Follow the procedure below:
  1. Open your Control Panel then click on Speech Recognition Options.
  2. On the Speech Recognition Option window click on Advanced Speech Options.
  3. Uncheck or Remove the checkmark next to, "Allow computer to review your documents".
  4. Click Apply.

My brand new Cyber Acoustics HS-600 headset microphone won't work with AIM


Hi Bob,
The first thing to check is that nothing is muted/turned down low in the Volume Control/Mixer. Then you need to go into the audio settings in AIM and select a different Microphone from the list. The one set to default is not the one you need. You'll either have a USB input/output for the headset or 2 jack plugs for input and output. These use different drivers on the computer. So just try using the different drivers from the list, one call at a time, remember to reboot AIM as you try each different one, and that the microphone volume settings are turned up in the AIM programs as well as you Volume Control/Mixer.
