hi i turned up the screen all i see is wavey red green blue line not moving, there are 2 big chips STK392-110 IS THIS THE PROBLEM, I ALSO HAVE A ANOTHER CHASSIS NOT THE SAME, IT HAS 2 STK392- 010 CHIPS ARE THESE INTERCHANGABLE. REGARDS MARK, ALSO IS THERE A PROTECTION RESISTER OR FUSE FOR THOSE CHIPS, REGARDS AGAIN MARK

- hi bill after a lot of thinking, not so much testing, i thought back to a std TV and the systom was of field collapse, my brain not being what it was, it didnt think a 3 tube projetection tv would suffer from this, turns out the IC LA7833 was at fault, i left the tv on for an hour, then turned it off all heatsinks were hot or warm, cept the one that had LA7833 attached, so i changed it, bingo.Maybe i was just lucky on this one, the pictures not all that good, sightly yellow tint on the left blueish tint on the right, not very bright, but ok ish,convergence is out on the right too, i have no remote, so i cant make adjustments, oh well, thanks for your help, regards Mark.
