Possible that the SIM contacts are not touching the surface well, remove SIM clean dry the contacts and put the checked SIM back into the slot. If the fault comes back, your phone can have a software or harware issue and must be referred.

Hi I have a W200 Sony Ericson and suddenly the phone has a error message to say "insert sim" i restarted it removed the sim and fixed again nothing seems to fix the problem, there is no problem...
It might be the moisture is stuck on ur sim card.......dont worry.......open ur battery and back cover then remove the sim and wipe it with a fresh cotton cloth.........after 10-15 minutes insert all in proper way and restart...........

Default SE W200 phone code is 0000

PIN and PUK you can request from your mobile operator (default PIN often is 0000)

Here is the SP29156 that includes W200 drivers.
1. Delete the W200 in the device manager.
2. With the computer turned off, remove the W200 from the cover mounting( 1 screw).
3. Reboot with the W200 removed. Reinstall the Sp29156 Drivers to the system.
4. Reboot the system twice, with the W200 UNINSTALLED. Shutdown system.
5. Now replace the W200 in it's mounting area and secure with screw.
6. Now, reboot the system, it should again recognize PNP-new hardware and install itself with the correct IRQ's and drivers.
7. Save SP29156 in a safe place for use at a later date if needed.
8. Enjoy your now functional W200 module.
