If the rinse cycle is only working the timer you adjust to start any load is at fault. A replacement is what you will need. The internal parts of this timer have cogged teeth around the whole dial inside of it. They do tend to wear and also break off causing the problem you have. These teeth are not repairable sorry to say

I'm not sure of your model but most stackable cycle selectors have contacts inside which can corrode and not make contact. If it is this type the inside can be sprayed with a contact cleaner and may help. Post your model number for more info.

Yes. Since the washer will fill and agitate in the rinse cycle, it's not getting the signal to do the wash cycles.

Ok this is where we are at. I changed the timer and only the spin cycle works. No water anytime. Tried on cold, doesn't work. checked the hoses, ok. One thing I noticed it appears the two units are not securly attached to each other. Model # LSG7806AAE stackable Maytag.

Hello. Your problem most likely lies in one of two areas:

Selector switch If your washer has a selector switch on the control panel, make sure the button for your selection is pressed all the way in, or set properly. Drive motor Many washing machines have multiple-speed drive motors. Though it's uncommon, the drive motor may work fine on one speed but not on another. If the drive motor has failed on one speed, you need to replace the entire motor. J.

The dishwasher runs through it's cycle but does not clean the dishes properly and leaves a cloudy film and smears on the inside of the machine and the dishes

    Common Problem
  1. Confirm the wash water is hot
    1. Try heated wash(sani wash) if available
    2. Run hot water in sink to warm up before starting
    3. At least 120 degree Fahrenheit water temperature
  2. Open door check wash arm position start washer for a minute
    1. Confirm wash arm has rotated
    2. Check for plugged spray tips at either end of wash arm.
    3. Use small tweezers to remove
    4. Check for rack and dishes interfering with arm rotation
  3. Place cup in upper rack with opening up cycle washer.
    1. Confirm that cup quickly fills with water
    2. Not washing check water level in tub mim 1 1/2 inch
  4. Discontinue use of rinse/dry liquid additive.
    1. Confirm rinse/dry additive not leaking from dispenser into tub
    2. Washer detergent contains sparkle additive and too much sparkle/rinses/dry additive will coat dishes
    3. Try alternative wash detergent that contains minimal rinse/dry additive and use without liquid rinse/dry additive.
  5. It will take several wash cycles after the elimination of rinse/dry to purge the oily film from dishes and machine..
  6. If success "joy" is achieved with no additives then cautiously add back wash detergent with additives. Additives are important to facilitate drying and protecting the glassware china from leaching. The leaching process permanently etches the surface of glassware leaving a cloudy appearance.

Program selected ie 40c and washing machine starts. Appears to stop after the wash cycle, machine does not have water in it. The time which had moved down to around 48mins returns to start time 125mins....

It seems there is not accepting cold water on wash . The solenoid for the wash is probably open circuit. Check the solenoids with a meter for continuity. I bet you will find one open circuit. Then you can go get a new one and replace it. Might also be the pressure sensor failure, but that is not consistent with a successful rinse cycle. Make and model would have helped ..... Cheers

F & P washing machine GW709AU not competing rinse cycle and then beeps and flashes light.

My Whirlpool washing machine is not stopping after completion of wash cycle instead it is repeating the cycle again. It is not consistent, but out of 3 washes 1 wash is happening that way...we are manually stopping machine by gaurding carefully when timer shows nearer to completion.

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
