Question about Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive
There is technically no write protection on these units and the fix is longer an d more costly than the unit is worth and often does not work anyway. there is scads written about this problem and most are bunkum and never solve it!
Throw it away and don't waste your time trying to fix a $10 unit that is going to cost $30 to fix + your time at whatever is the going hourly rate in your country of origin.
