Dixon 2301 zero turn steering question,

I was wondering if anyone had experience with a dixon disc drive mower, i got one from my cousin, it seems like something isn't right with trans mission, it goes forward and reverse seemingly well but seems like it doesn't turn correctly, if i push on either lever individually it doesn't turn tight, it kinda goes forward on an angle, to make a left turn i need to push on right lever and pull the left in reverse direction to hold wheel stationary, for instance to circle around a tree, just wondering if this is normal, i know my cousin replaced the transmission a few years ago, i might have to yank it and reset everything.thanks

SOURCE: Troy Bilt ride-on mower will not move in either fwd or reverse

Is the parking brake on? Or if it's a hydrostatic (automatic) there is a release lever to push the unit around when it isn't running. Most of those releases are on the back of the machine, and you just push it in for drive and pull it out to push.

SOURCE: Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.

Dixon 5020 mowerhow do i install drive belt on 5020 dixon

If, and I'm sure it is, like all other riders, remove the deck, turn the mower up on it's side and supported with a lawn chair or the like, it won't hurt the mower, remove the electric deck drive unit from the crankshaft by taking the center bolt out and pull it off, remove the clutch tensioner far enough to get the belt off it, then remove the belt from the motor pully and the hydrostat drive pully and pull the belt out towards the front. replace the belt with new one and put it back together.

I have a 2005 Dixon zero turn mower the motor is hard to turn over but once it starts turning it turns fine when the motor starts it will only idle and not accelerate it has a 14.5 hp Briggs and Stratton...

sounds lie it's starving for gas.
Does this engine have a fuel pump or is the gas gravity fed???
Some engines this size do have fuel pumps.
I'd also take the bowl off the carburetor and check the Jet.

Hi, first check your tire pressures are equal then check/replace wheel drive belts and pulleys for uneven wear. If all ok adjust the drive link arms until it travels straight. Regards Phil.

Should I buy a used 311 Dixon ZTR for my 1/2 acre yard?

Never buy one. Ever. Unless you have a mechanic from Dixon that will live with you to fix it every time you turn it on. I HATE it. If it isn't one thing, it is something else. Will not run. Tires a worthless. Seven thousand dollars of ****. Just call and complain and see if anyone cares. Nope. Cannot keep battery that works more than a summer. Nothing but trouble. Cannot get anyone west of the Mississippi to come to your house to service it. Must pull it in a trailer to get it serviced. Over all --junk. No one helps from Dixon, no one cares. Cannot wait until they go out of business. A sling blade would work better. Please get sheep or goats. Much more reliable.
