Unplug your unit for about 15 minutes. This will reset the code and should allow you to open your door. After you get the door open you will need to replace the timer. The timer is not tell the door electronics that the door is now ok to be opened to it is keeping it locked.

then you are going to have to unplug your control board, by removing the plates on the top of the system. Once you unplug the control board you will be able to open the door

Does that mean that I unscrew the plate at the top of the back where the water hoses are attached?

Yes, or you can remove the bottom front panel and unplug the door switch, that may be easier for you. The front panel jsut pops off

  • annegripper Jun 04, 2010

There is no separate front panel - it is all one moulded piece of metal. But I got the top off and have pulled out the wires which connect to the door. The door still won't open. Do I need to plug it in to the electricity again before this will happen?

Yes, go ahead and plug it back in then plug in the power. If this doesnt work, you can try to pry the door open very carefully. That is the only way to get at the lock. Then once the door is open, do not close it again until you can get the door lock fixed

My Hoover 750 washing machine does not spin any more. What would cause that and can I fix it with a new part?

Hello.

The answer to your question is YES.

And below is the instruction on how to solve the problem.

The Hoover750 is a washing machine that offers many standard features and a few additional options, including energy saving cycles, variable spin and water pressure options and pre-wash, extra rinse and timer features. Available online and in select appliance, department or home retail stores, the Hoover washing machine should function well with basic maintenance and care. However, if individuals experience problems with the machine, some troubleshooting steps may be beneficial in locating the source of the issue and a potential resolution.

1. Ensure the Hoover washing machine is firmly connected to a grounded power supply if the machine is not working. Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.

2 Turn the main power switch to "On" and open and close the washer door firmly if the electrical outlet has power but the washer is not functioning. The washer will not operate if not turned on or if the door is open.

3 Verify the water inlet hoses are connected firmly and are turned on if there is no water flowing to the washing machine. Straighten out any kinks in the hoses and remove possible obstructions from the inlet screen.

4 Straighten the drain hose if the water is not draining from the unit. Remove any possible blockages from the drain hose. Tighten the hose if necessary.

5 Avoid selecting a "No Spin" option if the washer is not spinning water out of the drum. Choose a new spin cycle and press "Start" to remove water from the drum.

6 Verify that all four feet are touching the ground evenly if the washing machine is rocking or vibrating during use. Adjust as needed.

Thanks.

Hoover washing machine - door won't open and drum won't spin, error displayed is e08, ideas anyone? Thanks :-)

1. please provide the model number for the washer
2. this is a timer error code and it seems that it locked the door during the spin cycle.
There may be a malfunction sensor or you will need to unplug the washer to reset the washer to complete the cycle.
Something electronic has caused the washer to shut down to protect the electronic circuit. You may have a defective timer.

Hoover Zodiac 12 that won't spin.

possible filter blockage, or the pump has failed/seized, machine CANNOT spin while it CONTAINS WATER, the door interlock will not open for the same reason,WATER in drum.
manually drain excess water into a bowl now
1 clean filter, 2 check pump for objects that prevent impeller working may still need pump if seized

Our hoover ultra care 1300 large load washing machine spin fault

The most common cause of machines stopping mid cycle is not draining. Your machine should have a filter behind the kick plate at the bottom.
If this is not the case please post back for further assistance.

My front-loading Hoover washer/drier (Softwave 1100, Model A8754). Will carry out the wash cycle but not go into spin cycle and thus door will not open. Checked for blockages and none found. Can you help...

Door will not open if it has water in it.
Lay hose down to get rid of water, then you can open door.
Try the spin with no water in, if it spins, then you have a draining problem

Hoover 2305 washine machine wont spin

Your problem could be caused the interlock but it could also be that the machine is failing to drain in the time alllowed and therefore the machine will not spin, before buying a lock check the sump hose and pump area for blockages.
