Question about Whirlpool Gold White-on-White 21.9 cu. ft. Conquest Side-By-Side Refrigerator with Ice and Water GD2SHAXLQ Side by Side Refrigerator

Oven door locked and dead panel

I have a Whirlpool Gold Accubake system.  I must have accidentally pushed the auto clean button, though I'm not sure.  The oven locked and heated - so I thought is was just cleaning.  However, it's now the next am and it's still locked with no electronics working.  It is cool and the fan is going and the oven interior light is on.  Any suggestions? Thanks

I used the self cleaner on the bottom part of my oven and when it was over I could not get the door unlocked. Clock is working but the upper part of my oven will not work either. Under the clock the display says,

"locked" and if I press either start button, the display reads "hot".

    What to do?

TRY UNPLUGGIN THE RANGE FOR FIVE MINUTES AND THEN PLUGGING IT BACK IN. IF IT DOESN'T RESET AND UNLOCK, YOU COULD HAVE EITHER A BAD OVEN SENSOR OR BAD CONTROL(CLOCK). IF YOU ARE A DO IT YOURSELFER, YOU COULD BUY A NEW OVEN SENSOR, REMOVE THE BACK PANEL FROM THE RANGE(THE LARGER LOWER PANEL) FIND THE SMALL CONNECTOR PLUG THAT COMES THROUGH THE BACK WALL. IT HAS ONLY TWO WIRES ATTACHED TO IT. DISCONNECT THE OLD SENSOR AT THAT POINT AND CONNECT THE NEW SENSOR. IF THE OLD SENSOR IS BAD, THE DOOR WILL UNLOCK AND YOU CAN THEN REPLACE THE BAD SENSOR
THROUGH THE OVEN OPENING.

Activated the self-clean function. When it was done, the display said E1. F5. door is still locked. have pushed the off button, the display says END LOCKED CLEAN, then it goes back to the original E1....

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Ice is frozen in the chute of my on door ice maker. I cannot remove the unit from the door because of this

Very carefully push the button on the side and pull and wiggle hard. Ice may go flying everywhere you will have to clean up the mess and then rotate and clean out the chute rotate the clamp and empty the ice container. You may need to run water through the shoot make sure you dry it before replacing the unit.

Whirlpool gold accubake system in loc mode cant get it off the ..

daddysgirl,  You do not indicate the model number or the age of the stove.  Early model self clean stoves used a 'oven lock door handle.'  Later model stoves do not use such a handle but is electronic. I believe this is the one that you own.  You also don't indicate it the door is indeed "LOCKED" or does the console just says that it is locked. If you press START... does the oven actually come on and heat to desired temperature?  If not... I believe that you have a touchpad control problem.  You can unplug your stove from the wall or turn off the stove's 220VAC 50 amp circuit breaker located in your main electrical panel. If possible leave off over nite and then reapply power the next morning.  If you still have the same oven contol problems, then you will have to replace your oven Electronic Control Module (ECM).  It sounds like the "touchpad" portion is defected but unfortunately it usually comes as a part of the ECM.  The oven ECM is very expensive ($150-275. retail) plus labor to install.  Hopes this helps you!  HandyHenry

Fridge door

Have you cleaned the condenser in the eight years? If not it is due time. Some are located in back of the toe plate under the door. Others are located in back behind a removable panel. Be sure to reinstall the panel after cleaning as it is necessary for proper air circulation for the system.
