I purchased a garmin gps and I am trying to install the usb driver on my computer. Was instructed to connect the garmin gps to my computer but keep receiving the following message
that I must connect the unit to my computer and if I keep getting this message to check the url for additional information
http://www.garmin.com/usbgpsfaq
but I can't get any information at that site....

the product is garmin streetpilot c550....
same problem as described but on GPSmap 60CSx

I tryed to download update but now it is locked on and I can't shut it off. It shows on screen ( loader loading ) but does not respond to anything
