Question about PC Desktops

DP562 This laptophad been "WIPED" by my wife's work. There was no cd with the frame when I bought it.I am running Windows XP. My camera works and my mouse works. If I could find that driver, it would probably fix the problem, but I have not been able to find that driver. It is not on the COBY website. If you know where I can get it, That would be the greatest help.

You may already have this, but below is a link to the manual for your digital photo frame. If you look at page 33, it states that a USB driver is not necessary if you are running windows XP. It also states that you must have a memory card installed in the photo frame when you plug it into the computer in order for the computer to recognize it. Finally, it also states on page 34 that the first time you plug in your frame that it may take several minutes to recognize the device before installing it. I hope this is more helpful.

Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-drive.
Restart the computer.
Press F10 and then "change boot order" to FIRST try to boot from the CD-ROM.

The Product Key is completely wiped on top of my desktop. And the CD don't have the product keys among them. Is there anyway you can help me with?

If your system is still running windows xp/vista/7 there is a program called "magic jellybean" that can show you the product key for the system you wish to reinstall on.

Need to get a recovery disc or disc's for an HP Pavilion a414x, DESK TOP with windows xp. system #DT037A-ABA; ser.# MXK4090RMV. Bought this used, OS has been completely wiped out, have no recovery disc,...

If the Harddrive is wiped you will not be able to "Recover" anything. No operating system exists. You need a Windows Operating disk. You can buy an official one with the keys and everything anywhere u can buy PC software.

If you borrow a OS CD, do not expect it to work. You need valid keys. You have to bite the bullet on this one and buy the OS. You will also need to download and "properly" install the hardware drivers. This is not as simple as people think and if you think windows update will do a good job of installing the drivers...think again. 9 times out of ten...you will get a blue screen error if u let windows install graphic or other major drivers.

Camera works on Windows XP but i have Vista

You would need to download and install the Windows Vista driver from the webcam manufacturers website. You should be able to find it by clicking on the support link and looking up your specific model #. Hope this helps.

Won't boot up..hangs after accessing cd drive

You can download Hiren's Boot CD utility and burn that to a cd. Reboot your computer with the cd in. Select to start from cd. Now you will see several options that you can work with. What you want to do is go into Partition Tools or Harddisc Tools and partition and format your harddrive. MAKE SURE you have a copy of Windows XP or your restore discs BEFORE you do this as you will not have anything left after this is done. Once you have formatted the harddrive, you can reinstall windows xp.

Yes you can install another windows on it here are instructions for windows XP they are almost the same for just about all versions of windows past windows 2000.
  1. Start your computer from the Windows XP CD. To do this, insert the Windows XP CD into your CD drive or DVD drive, and then restart your computer.

Note To boot from your Windows XP CD, the BIOS settings on your computer must be configured to do this.
  2. When you see the "Press any key to boot from CD" message, press any key to start the computer from the Windows XP CD.
  3. At the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to start Windows XP Setup.
  4. Read the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then press F8.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to select and format a partition where you want to install Windows XP.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the Windows XP Setup.

Computer had a virus so i installed a kill disk and wiped the hard drive clean now it wont do anything im trying to install windows xp pro the computer s/n is cnh7280dh7

Hi,
Is your bios set to boot to the CD first?

You can download the 'windows xp setup disks' if you have a floppy drive on that computer
from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=E8FE6868-6E4F-471C-B455-BD5AFEE126D8&displaylang=en

or you can install an older version of windows that WILL run from DOS like win98, or winme, and then install your XP afterwards.

I hope this solves your problem, thank you, good luck.

I have a new coby DP562 Digital Photo Frame and I need the Driver for it.Do you know where I can get it. It is not on the Coby website. My computer does not seem to have the correct driver for the USB...

What operating system are you running? According to the information I found, your photo frame comes with a driver disk for windows 98se. If you have windows ME or later, your computer should recognize the photo phrame without installing the disk.
