Question about Bose 3 2 1 GSX System
CD/DVD readers have an optical lense and laser that travel on a track as the CD/DVD spins above (or in blu ray above and below) it. The track is about 4 inches long or the width of the CD. It reads from the inside out on a DVD like a record player. The lenses are mounted on gears and it sounds as if they are travelling half the track and running into a physical obstacle that is preventing them from going further.. such as a damaged gear, dirt or debris in gear/rail, etc. The clicking noise is the motor in the head unit trying to move but its not able to overcome the obstacle. If the unit was bought new this is a warranty issue and BOSE will correct it as a product failure. If the unit was bought used then BOSE will still correct but for a fee. Dependent on model of drive used inside the DVD system the cost is going to be more labor than the drive itself, plus shipping. Try the FAQ's and if that fails then contact customer support at the bottom link on the support page.
