Check the fill cup on the back of the ice maker if it is full of ice then thaw it out, if it has ice in the fill cup no water can get into the ice maker cavity

I just had a similar proble with a kenmore elite fridge, in that the ice machine stopped making ice. I called the sears repair service and was told that the ice machine needed to be replaced. The diagnostic fee was $99. I googled the ice machine and it was only $99. I should have just replaced it from the getgo. It is VERY easy to install, 2 screws and a plug. The company that sold the ice maker is called Marcone http://www.marcone.com/Default.aspx?M=L

Leaking water from freezer, have no clog in drain. Ice and water fall down back of inside freezer!! Water on floor a lot?

Good day,
Sounds as if the fill tube to the ice maker is either plugged with ice, broken, or adjusted improperly.
Remove the ice maker, then the fill tube needs to be inspected closely for the issues above.
As well, the fill valve in the bottom rear of the machine might not be shutting off completely after filling the ice maker well. If that is the case, the valve is non serviceable and must be replaced.

Jenn-Air bottom freezer ice maker not working

I took the arm of the ice-making machine out of the slot and put it back in, pushing it snugly inside the slot, then raised and lowered it several times. Then, with the arm in the up (stop making ice) position, I felt inside the ice-making tray, where I noted there were ice cubes as well as a sheet of ice at the base of the ice-making tray. I poured approximately 24 oz. of hot tap water into the tray to melt the sheet of ice. I turned the freezer temp control to "warmer". I think the freezer temp setting was too cold, causing the ice maker to freeze the water before it could make cubes. I have a working ice maker again!

Icemaker not working, but did

Hi..

If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, check these, in this order:

  • It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these:

    • If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire.

    • If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire.

In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.

  • The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts! Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary.

  • The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it.

  • Thanks for using fixya

Ice machine will not even start the ice making process. can get water out of the door with good presure but no ice

You either have a bad ice maker or a bad water valve. It really depends on what your model # is and brand.

    Ice machine quit making ice

The refrigerator has a duel water valve, one for the ice-maker and one for the water dispenser (if equipped). The valve that the ice-maker relies on may be bad, or it could be the ice-maker itself.
Another thing that could cause it would be the temperatures in the freezer. The ice-maker will not call for water until it reaches under 15 degrees. In addition, check the water tube behind the ice-maker to make sure it is not frozen, blocking more water from entering. The water does not go to the ice-maker or thru the filter unless the ice-maker turns on the water valve.

if you already checked this and think it is a different problem then let me know, i will help you figure it out.
