HARD DRIVE NOT EXIST ERROR!!!

If you installed Linux successfully on your hard disk then the hard disk is OK.
If you are installing Windows Xp and it does not detect the hard disk but the BIOS detects the hard disk then -
The problem is that XPinstallation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on adisk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then,XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP.The FIX.Go into the BIOS anddisable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is aIDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows hasbeen installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver),then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.

How to reformat my MSI notebook?

You need to have an valid Operating System installer CD/DVD. This could be a Windows or Linux installer or whatever Operating System that you prefer.

  1. Turn your laptop on.
  2. Open the CD drive and load the CD Installer.
  3. Reset your laptop to manually reboot it. If you loaded the CD fast, this step is no longer required.
  4. The setup program will then load. Follow the onscreen procedure.
  5. At the point of selecting the hard disk drive, choose "Delete Partitions" to completely remove all data.
  6. After deleting partitions, create new partitions for your hard disk. You can choose to divide your hard disk capacity into 2 or more partitions depending on your requirements.
  7. Format the root partition now (Drive C) to continue the installation.

Hard drive not installed if os not found re-install hit any key to exit

This usually happens when your BIOS fails to recognise your hard disk or else it is not enabled in BIOS or else there is a loose connection which makes your computer unable to detect the hard disk, You could try and use your BIOS to check if your hard disk is detected. In case it is not, then check the connections of your hard disk or ask your technician to do that

Harddisk not detected

Hi, I think that your os has been crashed. So insert your disk and boot your system and check that your BIOS will boot from CD (Boot preference - CD ROM). And install a fresh copy of your os. Let me know the result.

Good day most often this happen when the hard disk or the DVD/CD rom attached complicate each other.Try this solution remove the cable attached to the hard disk and re insert it (be sure it is in shutdown mode). If you successfully enter the OS try to run checkdisk on your hardisk to check any damages or run diskmgmt.msc to managed your hard disk.To to it go to run->Type " diskmgmt.msc" without a colon then strike enter.
