Question about Washing Machines
The GE agitator is held on by a pressure fit (no screws). A couple things to try.
- Take a belt and put under the agitator as close to the center of it as possible, pull on the ends of the belt, be careful that your face is not right above the agitator, when it breaks loose it can pop you in the nose.
- There is a tool called an agitamer that can be bought at an appliance parts store but it runs about $25.00. you put it under the agitator and fill it with water to put pressure on it.
- This website has a homemade tool that works pretty good if you have this stuff around the house.
GE agitator stuck
- If all these fail a lot of pulling upward will eventually get it off.
