Intel High Definition Audio driver not workin. New HDD, NEW operating system. XP SP3
Your previous drives may not work with Windows XP SP3. Its a common problem. Some hardware do not support it either.
You have to download the latest drivers for your system.
Make sure that you uninstall the drivers before proceed.
Check for driver related problems using Device manager and Event Viewer.
(Start -> Run
type devmgmt.msc and hit enter to get device manager.
type Eventvwr.msc to get event viewer. And check the System events)
