If you would like to check a few things like the motherboard and compressor for example let me know. Click Here=> GE ARTICA PROFILE TECHNICAL INFORMATION Then scroll down to wiring diagram and click on it. That will open the service manual into a new tab. Save to computer and the link that I gave you to favorites. When ready we can use these pages to go by for our diagnostics. Most likely your problem is board or compressor start components. Feel the top of compressor after trying to run a while. If too hot to hold hand there we need to replace start components, board, or both. Please rate my solution after I have helped you resolve the problem and communicate with me. I am offering my help to you free. If need you may contact me here on Fixya or my Forum=> Appliance 911 My contact information is located above the Fixya Ad on my blog here=> Sea Breeze Appliance Parts and Technical Services, www.pcappliancerepair.com
Thanks, Sea Breeze

The condensor fan cools the condensor coils. If it is running this will cause a no cool situation. Also, if the condensor coils are plugged with dirt that insulates the coils and causes a no cool situation. These things will make it so the freezer isn't cold enough to freeze water so the icemaker will not produce ice. As far as the door edges getting hot. A condensor line runs thru the cabinet between the doors and this is called the mullion. If it is too hot this is a good indication of a bad condensor motor or dirty coils. Clean the coils and check the status of the fan motor and let me know what you find and we will see if we need to go further.

My refrigerator won't get cold. I had cleaned the condensor 2x and it seemed to fix it, but it keeps warming back up after about 3 days. The light does go off when the swich is pushed. Any ideas?

I have a 2003 elentra. The air conditioner blows cold for 10 min. then goes warm. If you let it rest, it then blows cold again. What is the problem. I want to take it somewhere but people are not honest...

The problem is either choke up of refrigerant circuit or choke up of condenser coil.If the condensor coil is choked up clean it with air blower or water pump.Make sure that the condensor fan motor is working. If the problem persists, clean the filter drier of the refrigerant circuit, flush the system, evacuate and gas charge.

Question...........Reference cooling Fans

yes, there is usually a relay or two on the circuit board to turn on the compressor and the fan motors. either the points of one or both relays are burned or there might be a burned conductor path on the board. if the latter is the case, there would have to be a reason it burned. in other words, just fixing the burned conductor path wont fix the problem, most likely. unless someone was messing around and shorted something, or moisture shorted something, the latter being pretty unlikely. relays burn with normal use. if it is a relay, you can check and fix it by removing the circuit board (after disconnecting power to the unit first), use a real small screw driver, like for glasses, a soldering gun or iron. remove the relay/relays. they are rectangular usually about 3/4 by 1 inch and black in color, take apart and sand points. one piece cover goes around all 4 sides and the top and youll probably crack the cover getting it off, dont worry, you can fill any cracks with epoxy putty or ......
