Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F1 means primary control failure and to resolve this you’ll have to replace the machine control assembly. To remove and replace the control you’ll have to unplug the washer and then remove three screws from the rear of the console assembly. Pull console towards front of washer to hinge open and/or remove console. Then remove the one screw holding the machine/motor control assembly to the console tray and two plastic legs on the rear of the machine/motor control assembly that fit into the console tray. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

THANK YOU for the information, called Whirlpool on 2yr old machine flashing F1 code during fill cycle and was told it was out of warranty and it was all on me! Mentioned nicely what this site recommended about class action lawsuits regarding this model machine. WHAT a difference that made. ALL costs will now be covered by Whirlpool at no charge to me.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
F1 error in your whirlpool cabrio indicates bad control board and should be replaced to resolve the error code. However, you can contact Whirlpool as well prior to replacing the control yourself as I have seen whirlpool paying for the parts themselves just because this is known to be a common issue. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
