Question about Computers & Internet
I have a 17" Dell monitor, model No E173FPb. It will turn on then after about 5 seconds it goes to a black screen even though the green power light on the monitor stays on. How do I take it apart firstly and then what?
Try the monitors connections first, then try the monitor on some other computer (try the other cables as well).
If the connections fix the problem - all OK.
If it works on some other computer - then it is not the monitor, more likely the video card. If this is the case - replace the video card.
If the monitor still does not work on another computer, then send it in for inspection and repair (is it still in Warranty?) or purchase a new one (expensive).
By the way, I don't know what you expect to do once you get inside the monitor (unless you are an Electronics Engineer by Trade which I doubt from your question).
Good luck, and please post a response so I can see if anything worked.
