DVD player error

I have an enzer DVD player.When I insert a disc it says Disc read error.I tried to clean it even then it does not work.Can I repair it?

- OK I will try that.But if that does not work how much it will cost me to replace the optics?& is there any way to repair it?

Try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Next try playing a CD. If the D plays but a DVD does not, the optics are weak and need to be replaced.
