Have the correct drivers loaded into your pc and try to jump form one usb port to another in order for your pc to recognise the pendrive.

I have a 4 gb hp v165w pendrive. its data transfer rate is very slow(120kbps). how can i speed up it? please help me

This not the problem with the pen drive but with your USB port. Check and make sure you are connecting the pendrive to a USB 2.0v. if you connect to older USB port then your data transfer would get effected. If still you are connecting it to USB 2.0v only then try to un-install the ports in Device manager and restart the PC once done the windows will automatically install the USB ports again and this will solve the problem.

Pendrive can detect but cannot read

Pendrive was problem.
When you click properties for pendrive then you will find capacity for your pendrive is zero.

However you can try to use other usb port. sometimes, usb port have problem. If you check properties it have capacity. mean not zero, then try check disk tool to fix error.

Sir my transcend pendrive is not detecting in pc.wht will be the exact issue.

Possibilities are:-
1. Pendrive faulty/defective
2. PC's USB Ports faulty

To check your Pendrive working, plug it to another PC USB port ie functional.

Hope it helps.

Hp pendrive is not recognised in my pc

HI sharon_9446

try to use the computer fully functional. pendrive if you can open the computer.
This means that your computer have a problem.
Thus the problem may be due to virus activity and damage to the operating system or USB port.

Hi, myself chetna i am having compaq laptop, and the problem is this: whenever i connect my pendrive, my system get hung-up, it stops working, then i abruptly turn off it, and then again start it, somebody...

HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
well what can that be , many things
pendrive (a usb port memory stick, and not real DRIVE?)

test it on other pc yet. why not? its failing test it.
many USB mem stick fail due to corrupted files on it.
(removing it incorrectly cause that)

what OS? , you posted with NO OS Stated, at all. XP?
all ports fail on this Laptop?
do other USB sticks fail....>? or USB keyboards, or mice?

the HP OS restore features started about year 2006
called the F11 recovery mode. (that?)
you said.
"but window formatting does not make it work,"
what does that mean, by what means? who done?
using what media or F11 magic key.?

I say the PC is XP? and we all know XP has Horrible
USB support, and NOW worse MS shut down XP servers
for the USB devices, (and more) so will hang when
doing PnP "plug and Pray" driver from there.
XP is DEAD, you do know that right? XP and VISTA are
now DEAD.

1: the Stick fails on all USB ports.
2: the stick fails in othe PCs
3: running XP and expecting things to work. HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAH (the endless dream?)

my XP works on one PC, but I had to make sure I had all drivers perfect , from each chip maker,
MS and HP dont have them so takes hard work

4: is the Device manager in control panel clear of al errors"

this PC is 10 years old
HP retired it, official
XP is retired at HP and MS.
that PC came new with F11 magic recover key.

the HP manual (covers XP and VISTA )
is still there, will be deleted soon... hint hint..

here is DM running and me clicking power tabs
on usb hubs

It shows this device can perform faster. the pen drive is slow

this is usb issue
your computer usb has a lower version than your pendrive
you cannot use better drivers because this is from mainboard chipset
Also you can put a pci usb card version 2.0 for your pendrive

You need to install drivers for USB. Also driver file for detecting your pen Drive for Windows 98.
